This information proves that the only thing NGF cares about it making profit at the expense of the Neo gamer. This incident shows what greed can do to a person. Chris Ray and Dion Dakis were willing to sacrifice their integrity and sell their soul all in the name of profit. That is not capitalism, that is deceit. I believe that every company has a right to make profit. However, they do NOT have the right to lie to the gamer and use their so-called authority to belittle all those who disagree with them. I hope anyone who has bought from NGF will realize that you are not helping the neo community when you buy from them. Rather, you are helping two so-called neo fans get rich by selling converted carts with fake artwork. I just have one question for all those loyal to the Neo. Let's just say NGF KoF2000 was completely official. Why then would SNK release the Japanese version of the game for $200 less, then release Sengoku 3 and Metal Slug 3 for the same price? Why is only KoF2000 more expensive? The answer is because Chris Ray and Dion Dakis abused their authority that SNK entrusted to them all in the sake of money. This makes me sick. NGF is the bain of the neo world and unfortunately they will just not go away. This is sad though, they could have been the greatest asset to the community. Like I said earlier, greed will lead a man to do terrible terrible things. I am remarkably slow, so tell me if I get this correctly:

1. SNK make a US version of KoF2K. Manual, sticker, insert.

2. NGF, takes the insert to a printers, and has their URL added in.

3. They replace inserts and manuals for "Freaked" KoF2K

4. SNK doesn't know about reprinting. As far as they know, it is original US version. That's why they always confirmed it. They think it is the version they printed.

Actually, it has little to do with NGF wanting to make money (IMO). Think about it, all they had to do is sell the carts they had with English artwork. Heck, had the art not had the NGF printing on them it would have probably attracted more buyers.

I think it has more to do with their EGO's. Why else replace the artwork? Now THEY have the originals. They also know that it bothers everyone to see their logo on the carts.

It's just sleaze.

The post above puts it very well. Think about it.. they had more sales to gain by not sticking that logo on there, but there huge egos forced them to switch the inserts.

All this to convince everyone they were the official US distro for SNK... so much for that plan..

So that just goes to show even when NGF gets a legit real product to sell, they find a way to taint it and make it not worth owning. Their even more lame now, than they ever have been. I bet SNK would like to know they put their URL on the carts, like they accually contributed something to the game...

If I was one of the people that bought one of their KOF 2K carts, I'd demand to have the Real Insert and Book Cover, or report them for fraud. I suggest everyone that owns this cart to join together on this.

It all makes sense now. If you read kiselgof's very well written, in-depth report about KOF2K "English" version:

you'll see that he discovered anomalies in the insert and manual cover . . . dot bleed, paper differences, etc. He could never be sure exactly what that meant, but its clear to me (and everyone else) now that the reason for these anomalies is that NGF replaced the authentic original SNK inserts and manuals with their own disgusting copies, all to sate their pathetic egos.

As someone else here pointed out, it would have been substantially cheaper for them to just take the authentic, original English SNK cartrdiges and sell them as delivered, but they wanted their foul URL prominently displayed on the insert and manual cover. That's the reason they replaced the original artwork.

As if that wasn't bad enough, they pretty much DOUBLED the price of the cart, harping on its rarity and the extra "cost" involved for SNK to translate and "print" the English inserts and manuals. The reality is that SNK probably did NOT charge a huge extra sum for the English artwork, NGF FLEECED their customers, charged them a huge premium PARTLY TO COVER THE COSTS OF PRINTING THEIR OWN BOGUS FAKE INSERTS AND MANUALS!!! That is nothing short of FRAUD, a disgusting lowlife scam perpetrated on the Neo gaming community, and grounds for legal action on behalf of all owners of the "English" KOF2K.

This is the last straw for the dynamic duo. They've truly sunk to the lowest point possible. I hope that EVERYONE, even their own FAKE IDS IN THEIR OWN FORUMS (they have plenty of them to boost their egos there) realizes what SCUM these guys are. Just a theory but, the auction is being held by Mouse_Master. The current high bidder is Kiselgof, who made the expert analysis of which Chimpmeister spoke of earlier.

How funny wouuld it be if this were simply a plot to get this thread read by every eBay'er interested in this item. Can you imagine if toward the end of the auction, Mouse_Master put some kind of addendum on his auction and linked it directly to this thread. Man, that would be funny.
