Got it yesterday (Aug 15). I actually think the packaging (insert, manual) looks better than a lot of my "official" Neo Aes carts. I popped it in and it played right away with no problems. Strikers is a pretty good game, but I knew that before I even bought the cart. If !Arcade! continues to produce carts like this, I'm going to continue to buy I recommend that for their next release, you get in early. Cuz after this go round, the next will probably sell out quicker.

What do you think about the old-style case it comes in? What does it look like in there? Damn, I really took for granted the new-style box.

I don't mnd the old style case that much. If it does begin to bother me, I've got a new style case laying around somewhere in the mess I call my gameroom (I just finished part of my basement... a Small part of my basement ).

Only problem is your old-style insert is too large to fit in a new-style case. The inserts for the snap boxes are smaller than those for the old-style boxes.

We get both a new style and old style insert due to the fact that they weren't able to get new style cases for Strikers.

Yeah. I thought including both inserts was a really nice gesture.

Did you get yours yet, yuckydog? If so, what do you think? If not, post here when you do. I'd like to hear what other people think. Actually, I want to know if it is as cool as I think, or am I just being a fanboy?

This is great to hear! I'm glad everyone is happy with their copies. Personally, I was surprised to find that the Strikers cart supported the Mem card. Perfect for the home user. I was using my card to play MS3 and then switched over to Strikers to find that I could save Strikers progress as well.

Anyway, great to hear the carts look and play well.

Mvs systems use the memory card too.
Great in the arcade, I think developers just became rushed or lazy in the last few years.

Yeah, I knew MVS carts/systems used the mem feature, but, as you stated, I just figured that with Strikers, being a recent cart, Psikyo wouldn't have bothered with supporting the card interface. I'm glad they did! Very cool!

LWK, remember - Agetec still published the game, and they are responsible for the content.

I'm not going to quote what the jackasses said about me.

I was congratulating the GUYS THAT RECEIVED THE STRIKERS GAMES.

And I was asking ARCADE WHAT GAMES WOULD BE NEXT.

Oh yeah, and the bashing kinda has to end until I have a good reason to bash.

The facts I currently have on hand are that they came through on Strikers and on the converter. Those are the only ones I have on hand.

Yeah which is why they can sue !ARCADE! over it.
The game is a direct infringement. Which is why I did not buy it, (that and the fact 400 is nuts for a newly released game IMO)
SNK gets no royalties, and the profit must have been great for both Shawn and Ray.

I am sorry to arcade, your not getting my support.
Until you can publicly post a contract by SNK licensing these productions I won't lift a penny.
Like DSD said.

On that note, remember not to buy any Neo games on eBay, the forums or what not because SNK and the developers don't get a dime from those deals.

Sure, yeah. 2+ months of work, the manual R&D, the gold foil printing, the custom boards and all that for a laughable 50 cart run of $20K value. Man those guys are off for 3 months of Hawaii now with their profit.

And wrt to that royalties: They simply redesigned the packaging of 50 games they bought and resold them - there is absolutely no fuckin reason why either SNK, Psikyo, Agetec or whoever should receive any payment. But that was discussed in detail already. But some people always need more time to get it.

Oh really, have you viewed there HQ in person?
Has anyone cracked a strikers open yet?
I am just curious to see how the boards look.

Yeah there is a fine reason. A little thing called Copyright . Thats a licensed product. To recreate a game is like a bootleg, its like me making CDR's with a pretty covering, whether I recreate them matters not, its a rip on a original production of games. Its also a violation to recreate a game in the first place. You need the companies blessing.
HOow would you like it if you created a game and I merrily changed a few things and then resold it, giving you the ORIGINAL CREATOR, no royalties? Does that not bother you at all? No matter how you feel about it, you have a lawsuit.

How could they have redesigned the games, (without making at least a burn of the roms or useing sac strikers carts without violating the creators of the product?
This game to me look's like a high quality sac. Nobody would even think of opening a game they just spent 400 for anyway.
This could swift by us. Argueing is not going to solve this.
A sad day when 20K is not considered a high amount of money.
They used the biography of the original game and thats a violation. In any form they recreated a already existent product.

Okay two points

1) Agetec liscensed the game specifically for the PSX platform...that doesn't give them universal rights to the game...thus they aren't owed royalties.

2) I'm almost positive that !arcade! mentioned in a previous thread that appropriate fees had been paid for this game.
