Do you recognize the game in that picture? Its Mr. Driller by Namco! The system being sold in this auction is clearly a HYPER 64 cabinet....

According to the seller, its a Neo-Geo system. The question remains: Mr. Driller on Neo-Geo? Maybe there's a Mr. Diller board in that Hyper 64 cabinet and the seller
doesn't realize it?

I've seen this item on location at Arcade Infinity (where the pictures are from) and it is not a special Neo version of the game. The cabinet is Neo compatible. The game is a standard JAMMA Namco board.

If you look a little closer you will also notice that this is a modified cabinet and has the standard 6 button Capcom layout on the control panel.

Its just a jamma cabinet. Any jamma game will work in it, the LCD screen on the cab just gets a feed from the jamma boards video signal. It is a hyper cab, with a mr driller board in it.

Just as I have a capcom Q sound cab, and have an MVS in it <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">

Hyper cabs are not dedicated, they will run any game.

I'm confused. If this is a Hyper cabinet, which it appears to be, why does it have the Capcom button layout?

Also, if it's standard JAMMA, wouldn't I have trouble sticking an MVS 4 slot in it? Doesn't the sound differ?

My Hyper board has an MVS switch that works around the problem, so I'm not sure if the cabinet is arranged for MVS or JAMMA.
