Neo is dead, & Hopefully Theyll move onto cps3 or naomi hardware.

I keep hoping they'll realise there's still a market for home carts (Like with the MS3 re-release) and put out the new MVS titles for the home system.

Even if they're not great titles, I still think it's cool that Aruze/SNK is releasing them on home cart. I can't really comment if they're any good or not, since I haven't played NITD or Sengoku3, but I'm still all for it.

I think the MS3 rerelease is ten times more exciting that Sengoku 3....

I have fears about the fate of KOF 2001 too, BTW.

Fran don't be a party pooper. Sengoku 3 and NitD weren't made by SNK but so what? Neither were Twinkle Star Sprites or Neo Turf Masters. You may not be that excited about these new games but I am happy to see ANY game come out for the home cart system. I would love an official NitD home cart from SNK with or without a home menu. Lets put some money in SNK's pockets as a token of our gratitude for all these years and maybe they can keep going for a little while longer.

Beat em ups (ala burning fight, Sengoku 3) get stale real quick, in my opinion.
Once you beat them you loose play enthusiasm, in which a game like KOF 2K, you could play a LONG time, learning new combo's. (People like Rafee, are living proof)

KOF 2K1, hmm, looks scary I'll tell you what though. If they make it any way like MVSC, which set the new standerd for button mashers, then count me out.
Though Fran, if we are truly SNK fans we will support whatever gets tossed on that system whether it be shit, it will entice SNK to make more of their games.
S3 is great news regardless. However SNK's third parties are involved, but hey they develop for a system thats fucking ancient.
IMO MVS will last a long ass time.

I'm presuming SNK's HQ move back to Osaka this year has something to do with a possible future for the company, but it's just an assumption.

I'm just telling myself they're on break now. Doing whatever needs doing before we see their next offering. We know their product has the reputation to attract fans... instantly. They.. well SNK seems to know bugger all, but one can assume they have some idea, and will, perhaps, if their elitest attitude has now taught them anything, make some sensible business decisions, like producing games people will put their ¥100 coins and quarters into, without a second thought, just because (insert word) is in the title.

Just give them a little time, and show them that their hardware is not yet dead either. If the MVS were to go or become unprofitably unpopular, then we're all fucked. So even if we're pumping quarters into a crap game, it's for a good cause, essentially.

Just be patient, and something good should come of the company who ought to have run themselves out of business years ago, but who are still around. They just won't give up, and neither should we.

Rumor's fly.
A little birdie (that worked for snk) told me that much of SamSho5 was finished a long time ago. Although thats been awhile.
Round the time MOTW released.
Not completed, but it sounded like it was a good possibilty.

I'm hopeing they will pick up the work & Finish it.

There are pleny of 3rd party japanese compaines,
with great talent that would probably love to take such a flagship title.
Polish it up & get it ready for SNK.


Also, how do we know SNK doesnt have competent staff members?

This pisses me off. SNK IS going to put out new shit. I'd cut my arm off with my sword to see a new Last Blade. All we need to do is support them. They felt compelled enough to give use more Slug 3 carts which I truly thought was something that I deserved. I watched people on these boards bask in their carts. I live in an area where the only MVS game around was Slug 2. I never got to play new Neo-Geo games unless I bought them.. which I couldnt because I had no money. I knew that a Slug 3 was coming out and since I am one of the biggest Slug fans, you'de think I'd do a happy dance. I melted and went into a little depression. I would have given anything to try that new meat. But I couldnt ever because there were no arcades and the AES with Slug3 then was at least 500. I finally got my AES money together sadly knowing that I couldnt pump out that extra $500 for Slug3. But I saw that little !~~Metal Slug 3 Preorder~~ out of the corner of my eye on NCSX.com. I thought.. probly at least $400. But it was a mear $268! I BLEW UP! I AM FINALLY GETTING METAL SLUG3!!! This is what SNK is about. Making the fans live again.
