NGF case update: More waiting, much more waiting

Things are moving forward, but a quick solution will not happen due to court procedure:

The court has set an end-date for discovery (when both sides can ask for facts/evidence from the other side) for March 2004. In addition, the court has cut off Expert Discovery (getting to talk to experts, who's time is more limited) for June 2004. The court has also set an end-date for motions (these are requests for court orders like a dismissal or a judgment without need for trial) after the discovery results can be analyzed in July 2004.

If the case survives with enough doubt (that NGF might have a case) to go to trial, the trial itself would start in 8/24/04.

So happy waiting!

Some things are worth the wait

Thanks for the update Bobak. Where are you getting all this information though? Is it on Playmore's website?

Damn.

I don't want to wait to see what happens, but on the positive side:

- PLAYMORE already has confiscated all their "corrected" stock

- Looks like we won't be hearing a peep out of the duo until after 8/04

- It's almost enough time to forget NGF ever was

Good lord. A year from now (or more) before they can even really do anything?

Man, no wonder things take forever in the courts.

Lawsuits have got to be the modern torture device, years can be wasted away dealing with lawsuits. I hope I never have to be involved in one. eek!

Court proceedings are messed up man, takes forever.
One of my neighbors tried to kill another of my neighbors by shooting him with a gun.
The dude is standing outside my window right now, he is out on bond.
Dont you just love the legal system?

Thanks for the update Bobak. I guess we will just have to wait longer to find out what the outcome will be.

Damn that sucks! They do say that "all good things come to those who wait." There's about 500+ active members who are waiting...
