I don't think those are brand new systems. They advertise them as boxed and fully modded with new cart slots. Why would a brand new system need a new cart slot? I'm sure if they were "new," they wouldn't say "boxed." They'd say "brand new."

I wonder: is it possible on neogeousa.com to order "the works" (meaning a fully-modded Japanese AES with a Phantom-1 converter, two joysticks, an A/V cable, two controllers, a memory card, and a controller pad) and get it all in one fell swoop?

Oh that's easy enough to answer. SNK when they made new Neo*Geo systems back then had the idea to go cheap on the slots. Eventually those puppies will wear out sooner than the ones you could get from !Arcade!.

Getting new slots along with the system just means you won't ever have to worry about the possible chance of them wearing out anytime soon or wonder if the convertor will work properly or not. <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">

if they were brand new it would say brand new. it says boxed and fully modded. that doesn;t mean brand new cuz i seen them things on there the first minute the popped up trust me lol i would of bought all of them if they were brand new that way i could play neo geo till i die lol
