Does any one know any thing about a MVS style mother board called the PolyGameMaster? If any one has any information on PGM, links to sites about PGM, or ratings on the system, or even any info on the games for the system, please let me know.

Thanks :D

I know a little. The best and most popular games for the system are the Knights of Valour series. I think there are a few of them. There is also a game called Martial Masters that looks very much like and SF3 type of game (four button, Neo style).

There is a page that some dude has that has pics and reviews of the games. Once I find it, I'll edit thispost so you can see it.

Edit:

Found a good link for you. This is the IGS official site. Enjoy.

P.S...The PolyGameMaster is also known as the IGS.

Is anything on that system worth getting except for Knights of Valour and Martial Master?

Been there a few times. I went to the english site but all info on the games is still in Jap. Kind of a worthless site for people that don't speak Jap. I appreciate the help though. If you hear of any sites that offer english info let me know.

PGM rocks. So many things to buy, not enough money. I'll be out another few hundred today taking the old lady out. 364 days to the Neo, 1 day to the lady. Not bad.

LOL... what is it with IBM acronymns and Asian gaming companies?

MVS is IBM's mainframe operating system. Anyone who has used a search engine to look for Neo Geo info has probably run into this.

IGS is the consulting/services division in IBM -- refer to those wacky infrastructure commercials for more info.

PGM is bad ass. Why they are still using MVS when this and the Crystal system are avalible is beyond me. Idiots.

Games, hello surely you can't have forgotten Dodonpachi 2 and there is a Metal Slug style game that isn't released yet. At least I don't think it is.

Internet cover for this system is dire beyond belief.

I mainly just need a list of the games they offer, some screen shots, some reviews, and a place to buy the games. Any one of these things would be helpful.
Thanks <img src="graemlins/help.gif" border="0" alt="[Help]" />

Hey, Wiz', here's a site that might be more what you are looking for. This guy is a HUGE arcade player and collector. He has pics and short reviews for more games than you can shake a mouse at.

I would scroll through the games listings and look for IGS in the "by" column. That would denotet the system you are trying to get more info on. The Knights of Valour series is reviewed and has pics and also Do DonPachi 2 (!!!) which also appears on IGS.

This site is definitely worth a few minures of your time if you are looking to see some of what IGS has to offer.

PS...Be sure your Active X settings are such that you are promted before anything installs. The site rocks but he has some pain in the ass cursor thing on there (Comet Cursor) that once it installs asks you later if you want updates and BS like that. DO NOT let it install. The prompts get annoying but much less than a Comet Cursor update request two weeks from now.

Here is the site:

One quick reminder about the comet cursor: it is spyware, it spies your system and sends the info to a 3rd party which then sells it to other companies. Email me if you need more info.

About that website ryo is talking about, it is very interesting, and his ratings are usually very compatible with my opinions. This guy knows what a good game is!

The PGM specs were posted on ngf's website, can't complain about that since the info is free!

Hehe, it is funny you would notice that... well for the record, IGS, or IBM Global Services, is long since defunct... I worked for them from 1997 to 1999 before they were bought out by AT&T (The worst company ever) since then the group has seen more new names then most companies, finally settling with AT&T Global Business Solutions I believe... haha, glad I ran away when I had the chance. MVS on the other hand, no, never heard talk of it at IBM, however we had this great Acronym finder built into or terminals at IBM.... You typed in "What is" followed by a word. It was pretty good at finding just about any companies acronym, except if you typed IBM... it said International Brotherhood of Magicians, so that is who I like to tell people I worked for. :)

??? Maybe that was a different company or an abortive start, IGS is probably the biggest part of IBM today and is the largest consulting company in existence. Click on the IBM Global Services Consulting Overview on this link, you will recognize the blue-bar format they use for their commercials immediately.

As for International Brotherhood of Magicians... I kind of like that as well. :D

Is it brand new? I'm looking for a new one. To be honest I worry to much when dealing with individuals. There is no way to know what your getting site unseen or even if you'll get it at all. Im not calling you dishonest or anything. I dont no you from any body nor you me. I would rather deal with a company so that I can have a better chance at getting my money back if things go wrong. A warrenty is always good too. I appreciate the offer for sure. :D

Thanks

Well finding a "new" kit is going to be a bit of a chore as they aren't officially sold in the US. The only ones that I have ever seen are secondary market resellers who buy up stock from Asia and resell them here through venues such as eBay.

As far as my credentials are concerned, I am well known on these boards having done trades/sales with numerous notable members. My eBay id is revquixo if you want to check my feedback. still its your choice and all, so either way is cool.

I looked at your feedback. Its all for buying no selling. Showes your an honest buyer but selling is the feedback I need. Honestly I don't have the cash to spare right now as I just spent $1500 on games and systems, but at the end of April I will definatly start looking for a PolyGameMaster. I am just gathering info on the system. I'll look you up then and if you're still wanting to sell it we can talk. I would need pictures of the system itself and the system while its in use. Also I would need a complete description outlining what I would be purchasing and its condition.

Thanks :)

Hmm..I know there are some selling feedback in there as well...probably before they instituted the B and S arrangement.
