An American Airlines Airbus 300 crashed into a residential section of Queens.
It siunds like all the airports in NVC are closed. Bridges in and out of NYC are supposedly closed as well according to the news.
The plane left JFK airport and was headed to Santa Domingo.
So far, no foul play is suspected (thankfully).
Flight 587 (Just adeed that)
2 Crash sites it is said.

Remember TWA flight 800? Remember how there were literally dozens of eyewitness reports of something missile like hitting the plane?
What if that was a terrorist attck, and the exploding fuel line was just a load of hoohockey to keep the public calm? With such a small terrorist attack, they could make it seem like a normal crash.
What if the plane was really shot down with a stinger missile like the speculation said?

i have been following the news on CNN and it seems that it MIGHT not be a terrorist attack.there are 246 passengers and 9 crew members onboard.a coincidence that it happened at teh same New york City where the WTC incident took place 2 months ago.this incident happened at a sub-urban area.it looks like the plane might have problems with the engine or something.the cause is still unknown.they have not ruled out any possibility yet.

AA officials seem to be leaning towards a "mechanical failiure" story - although they wont say it officially (based on local TV). Im switching between local (Dominican) TV coverage and CNN (cable). I really do hope that this has nothing to do with terrorism. It won't make it any easier for the families, but that way it may facilitate the "what do we do now questions" that are part of a tragedy like this.
Ill try to post any relevant or new info as it breaks.

It's a damn shame that we have watch for terrorist boarding planes but now we watch have to watch out for the fuckin mechanics who check these planes before flight.
