Well look at the auction, SerialExperiments; its "private" allowing the seller and bidders to collude and pretend it went for an outrageous level, then actually agree with each other to sell it at a much lower price. There is a long thread in the selling forums about this (Farewell_SNK = bmxracist, the seller on Ebay):

http://www.neo-geo.com/cgi-local/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=3&t=004216

Anyway, 99.99% of the people here know about this cart and won't touch it due to the freaked insert, manual, and cart sticker. A few people believe that its actually an authentic SNK manufactured cart (which it probably was originally before NGF replaced the artword), but only a few.

As for what it ends at, you can count on Dion and Chris to freak the price up, then claim that all of the "English" KOF2K's are worth that. It still won't make them sell any better than before, and almost no one wants them as you can see in that thread above and prior Ebay auctions . . .

Jesus Christ....GET OVER IT.
SERIAL if you are around 15 and typing this I can understand, but if not than I dont know why the hell you care how some one else spends thier money. I seroiusly hope farewell_SNK (the seller) gets $1500.00 for that cart. more power to him. you guys need to find some thing constructive to do. and by the way, these redundant posts belong in general discussion.

Thats a joke auction by the duo and their friends to try and make their KOF2K usa valuable, because at the current moment no one will buy them, and I'm sure they still have a ton left, how many did they sell like 8?

Tehcno, that's why the auctions are private. It allows the seller to A) Isolate the bidder form any oitside information and B) Allows for shill bidding up the wahzoo.

I just find it really amazing  that when these carts are auctioned of in an open manner, they don't even crack the $300 range yet miraculously, when everything is behind closed doors, prices go through the roof.

You do the math.

Whats the reason for a private auction for KOF 2000 ? Seems fishy to me ,

You should not be so uptight about other peoples' money, because it is not yours. Look at Liquid Snake stupidass and you will know from all his whining.

I am not amazed by the amount of money. However, I am amazed at the value the high bidder has for this item... what's the point of buying a sealed video game... is he going to play it?

Yep... I was pretty sure I had seen a few of these around. Really, they aren't that hard to find.

Haha, silly me. I thought this was the thread for the limited edition N64 sealed Zelda game.
