Every year we are faced with this question. Back to kof99 comming out to aes, or kof2k is going to be on the naomi, or will ms3 come out just on mvs, and now ms4. If it is a big game it will come out to aes, why would the release kof2k1 in 2002. Snk has been comming out with aes games long after we thought they would, why would they stop now. When the mvs dies so will the aes. But if my veiw is wrong at least we have the phantom 1...........NEONUT

I'd venture to say there's a good chance of it happening.

I mean

look @ how well slug 3 did in the arcades

And for Christ's sake..

They had to re-release 3 on MVS and home cart..

You can quote me on this prediction..

"There will be a slug 4 home cart."

Sorry guys, I think not, more likely on PS2 sorry to say :( Commercialy AES is outdated, MVS will live on because the cabs are physicaly in the arcades, I expect some flack for speaking my mind. BTW this is not an AES vs MVS cause :)

I know you guys love your home carts, and I respect that. However ms4 has to make a quid, commercially MVS and PSX and even PC is the way to go. You will crap on me for this I know.

I wrote Megaking some months ago asking this and tehy answered me that MS4 was going to be released for the Neo Geo Home Cartrige, but according to later rumors it will be released for PS2...
Only time will tell

I agree it should port to other platforms. More likely it would do well on Gamecube or XBox, since I'm sure the POS2 will choke on the game as it tends to do on high intensity 2D games.

As for PSX, don't even mention it, games like this ported over are terrible . . . look at Metal Slug X, didn't measure up. <img src="graemlins/ohno.gif" border="0" alt="[Oh No]" />

If it does go on the AES it would be sweet. I would surely buy this one since it would be my first metal slug game. I just hope it doesn't cost like $400 or something like that, it would be to insane for me. I want KOF2000 or KOF2001 and they cost like around $200-300 and I can't even afford that.

I would love an English release too, ajsega. One thing about that, if people want to see future English releases they should support the current ones that came out from the Neo Store recently (Metal Slug 3 and Sengoku 3), and the future one that will come out in about a month (King of Fighters 2001). If people don't support these releases by buying them from the Neo Store, it is very unlikely that a future English release will come out at all, of any game.

I bought the Metal Slug 3 and Sengoku 3 English releases and they both look excellent. I've also preordered and prepaid for the KOF2K1 English release. I hope anyone else who cares about these and future releases will do the same . . .

You are not asking too much. I like to see English release on AES too, because I cannot read Japanese. However, in order to see more AES releases in the future, we the fans, need to show our support on the recent and coming soon releases....like Metal Slug 3, Sengoku3 and the KOF2001. Each minimum run of AES release is 2000 copies. Shawn of the Neo Store is the only distributor of the English home carts, and he is required to order at least 500 copies.

Therefore, if we show enough support to the Neo Store, Shawn will likely be willing to fund another future release. Paying $295 is not too expensive for a hot game like KOF2001. I remember I had to pay $325 for KOF2000 at its release.
