Is the GP32 a handheld system like the Gameboy Advance?
I've never heard of it or seen it.

I've downloaded all the demos. So far:

the first game (dunno the title): WTF, how do you play this?? <img src="graemlins/loco.gif" border="0" alt="[Loco]" />
Rally Pop: Worms ripoff! But very fun :)
Little Wizard: Looks sweet, this game must be good.
Treasure Island: fun game, hard to figure out but it has a pattern.
Dungeon Guarder: is a pretty cool game, but sound sucks, meaby its becouse its just a demo version. I bet its whole lot better when your playing the real thing.

IMO this system rocks!

Year! You gotta have faith, I guess. Is this the first console the Koreans have produced since they became legal? Nice to see them escape from their PCs :)

no back light. it has a screen like ngpc though, not the cruddy gba kind, so it is easy to see, and a light attachment is most definatly already around.

This handheld system looks cool. I can only hope the best I'll see it in the light of the day on US. Maybe...

I haven't exactly read the entire post, but I assume that the games are in Korean--good thing I can actually read it. Guess I am going to pick one up. Anyone else?

yea. i hate to agree.
but really the gp32 can exist in korea
just because it is korean means it can do
well. or rather its not japanese.
i dont know if it would ever take off here though.
nintendo has a strangle hold in the US just because
its a household name.
though the GC isnt doing spectacular, the GBA will
get by on its own easily.
people had hard times buying the NGP even with
the knowledge that it was better than the GBC.
sounds cool though. i was wanting to get one.
nice to know its only round the 150 mark.
i was originally informed that it would be round 200

I hate to do this but seriously, what is it with certain people here and systems that are doomed to die.....

Sorry it's just that in Japan nothing is going to take down the GBA, and I think the US is going to be hard to take out as well. Just really really hard.

It will take a huge mistake on Nintendo's part to F* up the GBA and this ain't like the N64, things aren't switching to CD's (although switching to the quarter sized 500Mb Dataplay discs would be so good, the RPG games alone....). Anyway, honestly if it wasn't for Nintendo staying w/ carts on the N64, they'd still be on top right now. Ahh if and only if....

Peace

It will do well enough in Korea to keep it afloat. They are game crazy enough over there, along with having strong national pride. I don't think it is made to compete with the GBA on a large scale like the NGPC was. That already gives it an edge.

a 10% market share is quite enough to keep it oing strong.

I read one site where they said this system had a built in front light so you can see screen in the dark. Is this true?

In regards to whether or not it can do well. Only quality games, affordable pricing and good marketing will make it a formidable opponent. If the KOF game comes out and it kicks ass, I'm getting one without a doubt. I just hope I can see the screen clearly. I hate GBA.

This game machine has so many cool features, the cpu is very powerful compared to the gba one, it's a 75mhz cpu in there... Kind of same kind of cpu there is in the gba (tho this one is @ 16mhz). 900mhz wireless communication (kind of like cordless phone) means you can play multiplayer without any annoying cable... This thing uses smart media cards, you can connect it to a computer and i heard there is an easy way to develop for it at home...
and the mp3 player feature is very neat!

i want one of these, i want this instead of a gba (i kind of liked the gba, but this seems much better)

Gimme!!!
