Here we go guys/girls!

These were made by dmhawkmoon

<a href="http://www.artificialhorizon.com/ms4/ms4mission1.avi" target="_blank">Mission 1: Video of the alternate route. Brief time is spent as a monkey, mostly it's a lot of tanks and soldiers</a>

<a href="http://www.artificialhorizon.com/ms4/ms4mission2.avi" target="_blank">Mission 2: Video with 2 of the new slugs in one area.</a>

<a href="http://www.artificialhorizon.com/ms4/ms4mission3.avi" target="_blank">Mission 3: End of the yeti section and a scene jumping up a waterfall.</a>

<a href="http://www.artificialhorizon.com/ms4/ms4mummies.avi" target="_blank">Mission 4: The beginning of the mummy section to the green room of death.</a>

<a href="http://www.artificialhorizon.com/ms4/ms4zombies.avi" target="_blank">Mission 4: The second half of the zombie section. Really a lot crazier than any of the zombies parts in MS3.</a>

<a href="http://www.artificialhorizon.com/ms4/ms4mission5.avi" target="_blank">Mission 5: Obliterating the helicopters with the "super hostage"</a>

<a href="http://www.artificialhorizon.com/ms4/ms4monkey.avi" target="_blank">Mission 6: Showing how the monkey can be used strategically.</a>

I "supposedly" have unlimited bandwidth. I'd rather not find out what the limitations of this policy is, so PLEASE download one at a time.

Thanks

Redownload? Get latest DIVX drivers?

You will need the latest version of DIVX from <a href="http://www.divx.com" target="_blank">www.divx.com</a> to see these videos. Without the encoding though, they'd be a lot bigger than they already are.

Thanks again, King.

Sorry for that one...wasn't intentionally :)

Nice gameplay, dmhawkmoon! Can we expect more footage in the future?

yeah heh. I am player one in those videos. We didn't actually have very good games at all. Now I can beat the whole game on one player without even using the second player's credits. (on normal mode of course) I want to get a video of this "rope" section and the proper technique for the last boss to show people that it's not that hard when you do it right. I can beat the last boss now with only 2 deaths, probably could do it flawlessly if I had a good game, but I'd be lucky to get a video that good.
The rope section is something new I think, though I have not played MS2 or MSX. It's like something out of battletoads. You are going down a corridor on a rope which is hard to maneuver on and you have limited left right mobility. Killer. I didn't save a video cause I always mess up on it and I didn't want people to see that embarassment. :)

The slowdown in mission 4: is that just the video, or is the game really that heavy with slowdown?

No, not really. I experienced some slows in 2P, but only in hot boss battles. Other than that, it has only a number of speed "hickups" on a handful of other spots.

Btw. - isn't the level 2 endboss great? Made of recycled parts of the big rocket in MS3's last mission. I cheered when I saw Lt. Allen O'Neil again (or better a cyber version of him). Kinda like that sucker...! YOU'RE MINCE MEAT!

That boss beast is trickier than the ones in lvl 3 and 4, at least on MVS diff. setting.

Whatever slowdown you see is the game itself. The slowdown is the same as in MS3. Not very much at all. I don't really notice it at all anymore... But the most slowdown in the game occurs on the zombie section in mission 4, potentially. So that might have been what you're seeing.

I can say quite honestly that this game is not a lot like MS3 or MS1, I can't speak for MSX. The scenes where you're going up an elevator shaft, up the waterfall, down a corridor on a rope, or turning into a monkey are 100% new kinds of things for me.

If I know the video is clear to stare  at, it would be from a rom I guest. If it was emulated, then you do got the MS4 ROM.

???? No I own the game, if that's what you're asking. I'm trying to give people an option to see MS4 WITHOUT emulation.
