obviously untrue. if true, i would fire the marketing director for Playmore for not letting it's biggest fans (on neo-geo.com) know of it's existence months before, not days before release.

There is no logic to this at all, and it reads like it was written by a four year old. I mean, how many contradictions are there in this statement:

"SNK, the creators of the popular Neo-Geo consoles and heandhelds, have announced that they will make a comeback to the gaming bussiness under the new name SNK Neo-Geo. Playmore has bought out SNK, but Playmore is coming out with their own portable handheld system known as the Neo-Geo Pocket Extreme"

I'm afraid I don't believe a word of it. And it would make no sense to have MS5 as a launch title, it would be MS 3rd mission or even a conversion of MS4. And like Trieuminator said, there are a few well connected people on this board (incl himself) who would surely have heard of this first. Tech TV beat Magicbox and Madman's cafe to a Neo related scoop like this - I dont think so. If I'm wrong I'll (happily) eat a crusty sock.

whole thing doesn't sound too likely. For one, playmore hasn't got that kind of money to throw around right now. Another thing thats kinda strange is how the existance of such a system hasn't been known about until now [a few weeks before "launch"]. I know SNK was never the brightest when it came to marketing, but that would be an all time low

what is unbelievable is the fact the article says it will be in stores..... I doubt it. MS4, kof 2001 aren't in stores except shawns... or poeple who wholesale bought from shawn.

That is only 2 weeks away. If it was for real then we would have heard about it by now. Perhaps they were trying to keep it a secret. But why? You always tell the consumer when a new product is coming out so they can preorder it. If this is for real then Playmore is doing some really bad marketing. <img src="graemlins/ohno.gif" border="0" alt="[Oh No]" />

who knows.... maybe the date is wrong... but why couldn't this be true for some point in the future....

When I last talked with playmore... they said they had some projects in the making and that they could not disclose them at this time. now, not to start rumors.... but why couldn't this be one of those projects.... would be very cool eh :)

There is only 1 console in the hand held market GBA... maybe they need a little compition.... notice the stress on little lol.
