Somone on this board has the Klez virus and its getting annoying.

I received a copy of the virus from Jasboo and NeoRasa supposedly got an email from me.

The way Klez works is that it looks through the infected users address book and then masks the identity of the sender with a fake person in the "from" field.

Soo.... Most likely someone who has Jasboo, me, and NeoRasa (and probably NeoLord and Kyo 2000 based on that other thread) is infected.

For god's sake people use anti-virus software.

THe guy at GW Trading, FSAL, had the Klez virus 2.5 weeks ago. Fucker would send me like 8 messages to one email account and 8 to another. WHen I contacted him he had NO clue. SO I told him how to get rid of it. What did he do? Nothing. EVERY day I got at least 4 emails from him (he was the orginator, not the sender as Klez was grabbing addresses from his Outlook). I snet him an email and told him to remove me from his mailing list. He wouldn't fucking do it, and he KEPT sending me the virus. Then, he wanted my phone # so I could talk him through the problem (I do desktop support for a living). Fuck that. I sent him STEP BY STEP instructions on removing the virus and how to install the latest Windows patches to prevent a reinfection. FUCKER STILL DID NOTHING. I sent him one last NASTY fucking email and he finally removed me from his mailing list.

I've never met anyone who supposedly knows arcade PCBS and not know JACK SHIT about computers.

Yup, I felt the same exact way! I was receiving that virus from GWtrading 4-5 times per day for like a week. It was driving me nuts. I was so close to just changing my email address, It just seemed like it wouldnt stop. I sent him an email demanding he take me off his mailing list asap but he never responded to me. Finally it did stop, You're email to them may have did it.

and yes, i got alot of klez & silly trojan lately, but im pretty damn save. :)

I too have been getting a shit load of the emails. But I'm sure mine is from my web site that I had that was very popular and I now have stopped updating it. But I'm sick of people making damn viruses... Do something better with your time damn.

Yeah I've been getting loads of these too - and I actually got mail from Ray at Arcade saying he'd got emails that were supposedly "from me"... but I'd never spoken to Ray before that and his email is not in my address book, so go figure. I use anti virus software anyway so I'm not infected.

If you guys get fed up with spam mail too, I suggest you try <a href="http://www.mailwasher.net" target="_blank">mailwasher</a>, which is a pretty useful tool :)
