To dump this game now will definitely mean the DEMISE of any future releases -OR- a MAJOR CRACKDOWN by the publishers.
Distributing ROMS is criminal in the 3rd degree long after the AES release -BUT- to distribute the ROMS before the AES release absolutely makes this criminal activity a 1st degree offense.
The old emu argument was mainly about preservation...
What is the argument now??? I mean it would be refreshing for a change if somebody would admit that they do it for the adulation,the temporary fame,the short term popularity if you will...

KOF 2001 has been dumped and is probably available for download in the regular rom sites... Sadly, this is a turn for the worst in the emu community... A "friend" at work was braging about KOF2K1 this last week, and how he had it before any arcade around here did... what an ass. I am not against emulation, and I am kind of neutral on this subject, but to hear the guy brag how he got it for free and was playing it now on his PC pissed me off... oh well, what can you do,

SNK hasnt even come back to the US yet.

a long time... i mean come on.
get a life guys. if this is the best way you
can spend your time....
it would be dissapointing to be at the tailend
of this year say in december and we ll all be
talking about how SNK made their comeback and
then went out of business again because of bootleg
carts and whatever shit because of emulation.

I dont think the rom is out anywhere yet - that guy was probably talking bs... in all honesty it will probably get leaked out sooner or later. Although I wanna play the game but don't have the cart yet, I'd rather it was later, MUCH later. Let the devs make some money, gees
