YYYEEEEHAAAA Wait A GO SHAWN YEHAAAA !!!!
NGF IS IN THE BLACK BOOK YAY !!!!

NGF - Chris & Dion

A total of $23,500 was sent to Chris Ray & Dion Dakis of negeofreak.com on 2/09/00 for 84 home carts & 1349 new CD games. A full 6 weeks have passed, and the only option they have offered for correcting the situation is through my next purchase with them. Instead of buying from them again, I'm refusing to buy from them completely.
I originally sent a cashiers check of $20,000 via overnight mail to Chris Ray for all of the remaining CD stock and all the remaining non-freaked home carts. I soon learn that Dion was to send the shipment. Once payment was received Dion told me that he found a few hundred more new CD games. Ya right! How can someone be so careless as to misplace or forget about a few hundred neo games? He told me I could buy the rest for $5000. He settled for $3500, so I sent an additional $3500 cashiers check via overnight mail. Nearly 3 weeks passed until my order was received. The 2 weeks were obviously spent ruining the boxes, breaking the seals, and tagging the carts with ngf stickers. I purchased 84 home carts, but only 81 were received. The three new Euro version Samurai Shodown 2 home carts were never sent by ngf. I purchased 1349 new neo CD games. Only 1342 were sent by ngf.

To learn more about the bad service from NGF read the forums of neo-geo.com, for this specific incident use this link: http://www.neo-geo.com/ubb/Forum10/HTML/000755.html

Good call, Shawn. But ouch, 23-5? Why do you allow yourself to be screwed by them time and time again? I can buy a car for that kinda dough. Sometimes I think yer too nice to the wrong people. I know I wouldn't allow this kina shit to happen to me much less on multiple occasions.
Shawn, I was wondering if you had a good lawyer, hee hee.

Even though it all fell through now every one really knows how NGF operates with big orders. SNK should know about this before they ship all those offfical home carts to them (hehe)

I would say I care but, lol. I really don't. Shawn should have done this the first time they ripped him, but he didn't. The whole NGF war is old. You avoid dealing with them and end of story, theres no drama anymore.

This isn't a battle of good vs. evil, Shawn isn't good and NGF isn't evil. Their rep. is well known, if you still choose to deal with them after knowing that then you take responsability if a deal goes bad.

NGF is fire, so don't play with them if your not willing to get burned.

Gotta agree with you Caris on this one. For someone who makes as much money as shawn does he can sometimes be a little stupid with his money. I mean 23k you should have gone down there and personally inspected the goods, before you trust that amount of money with the reputation that they have.

Yes thats my whole point. Shawn has been screwed by them before, and now he sends them 20 grand? lol. He needs to buy some common sense. A deal that big needs some precations. Like sending half of the payment upfront, and half when you get ALL the stuff.

Or going to pick up the merchandise in person. Of course you wonder WHY he would even think of sending NGF 20 grand. I don't care anymore, shawn is obviously a fool with a little to much money to throw around. I mean there is a thing called a contract, lol.

I would never make a deal that big without working one out before hand, with perhaps a lawyer. I mean your spending 20 grand, a couple hundred with a lawyer working out a contract wouldnt hurt. That way he could put dions ass in jail right about now.

I'm sure dion knows by now that shawn is a fool with to much money, and he takes advantage of it, because shawn lets him.

Hmmm when you buy a car for say 20 grand you have to sign this wierd looking piece of paper, whats it called again? lol

Actually, He was getting one hell of a deal. He was paying on average $16.40 per game. He was to make a killing on retail. I estimate he would of easly made 4 times more reselling it. Good Job!

Actually, I don't think it was that good a deal at all. Neo CDs don't seem to be in very high demand, they frequently don't sell for much on Ebay, even brand new. Even adding in the 84 Neo carts (well 81 is all he got anyway) doesn't make it that big a deal. Neo CDs just ain't that big a deal anymore, the load time on the single speed system is freakin' pathetic, and the CDZ is extremely unreliable and to be avoided.

I have to agree that Shawn should have known by now that NGF was not to be trusted, so he really can't get a lot of sympathy for getting burned. Just remember the old saying:

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, same on ME!!!

Really,

Think about it. All the cds NGF sold Shawn they advertised on thier webpage for less then $16, regardless if they had them in stock or not. the titles are nothing steller and chimpmeister is right most Neo cd are selling for less then $16 more like $10 a piece. So in reality not only did NGF screw him once but twice by advertising them for less then what they sold them to shawn for. But I would like to see how long they stay in the Black book, History would dictate about 2 months at the most. Although I am glad that thier is a standard applied in listing people.

Very well said Caris. I couldn't agree more. The fact of the matter is, when you deal with the devil, you will get burned. It's been an almost commonly known fact that NGF is nothing more than a life-sucking cancer on the Neo community. And it's long past due that this cancer gets cut out.

You sure as hell ain't gonna get rid of anybody or anything harmful if you send a buttload of money to them. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that either, just a little common sense.

So what if NGF has/had the stock? Personally, when I saw the pics on their site showcasing their newly acquired purchase, I said to myself: "Good, nobody in their right mind is going to deal with them, they'll have no choice but to choke on the cost of all of that." But lo and behold, the cancer known as NGF got the funds they needed to keep up their insanity, and now they'll be around longer.

This is nothing personal against Shawn, or what he does with his money. As far as I can tell he's a decent guy, and if he wanted to burn 20 grand in a bonfire in his front yard, that would've been his business. But to supply funds to a couple of low-life jerks such as NGF, who pride themselves on victimizing others and have serious god-complex issues, I can't have any sympathy for that deal going bad. We as a community had the opportunity to see the end of NGF. All we had to do was not buy anything (nothing too extraordinary or unrealistic to do really), and sit back and watch as that stock sat in their garage and wasted away. Now NGF isn't going anywhere.

And again, so what if they had the goods? Games are games, there's always the MVS route, e-bay, NCS, lots of options. This was a window of opportunity, to see NGF go down in a blaze of defeat. Too bad it didn't come to pass...

And I agree with Big Bruno, if history is any indication, they'll be out of the Black Book all too soon and back to terrorizing the community. It's a shame really.

I dont care what you guys say...
if Shawn loses money, thats his own fault for stupidly dealing with ngf. Nobody should give a shit about him losing money.
