KOF 99 Evolution

was this game ever released state side or not? i've read that some of you here have the game (most say they got it form toys r us) but on alot of websites (eb world, segadojo...etc) say its coming out may 9th? what gives?

KoF evolution is out but, you have to be darn lucky to come across a copy of it. A sales rep at EB told me that they were not going to carry it...don't ask me why...

I've seen it at Toys R Us (32.99) and Software Etc./Gamestop/Babbages (29.99 I think) so it is out there.

I found this game a local EB some time ago! It's actually an excellent conversion, and the 3d backgrounds are groovy. hehe

i to have seen kof evo, at toysrus and at best buy, and a few circuit citys.

I happened upon mine at Toys R Us ... I also saw it at some game store last weekend.

but EBs are just getting it..

alot of places like videogamedepot and

the reason being that EB s never got it
is because they couldn t get kof from
their distributers or direct or something..

I ended up getting my copy KoF evolution at Babbages. Well Worth the Time and Effort or(WWtTaE)

And how much can you respect a store that sells CDR's, CD burners and games with a ten day no questions asked return policy (the game can be opened up for christ sake!)? EB is a free rental company.

Why the fuck would EB carry KOF Evo 99 when we have to make room for the NEXT army men game from future bankrupt company 3DO.

I dont buy alot of games from our store anymore. It makes me feel dirty. Why, when I can just go to the local Future Shop and have them match our price, plus 10 percent (which covers my discount)?

I wish there was an Euopean department of Agetec. In Europe we didn't saw KoF 1999 DM nor we saw KoF 99 Evolution. We didn't see any Neo Geo Conversion (although I saw a Fatal Fury in a release list for ps1, likely to be Wild Amibition) in years. I can only remeber KoF 95 (saturn and ps1), SS3 (ps1).

It came out in MARCH believe it or not. I was working for Babbages at the time, and then Buy Wrong said they were going to be carrying it exclusively. The day before I got paid and was going to go through the dirty process of buying through them, we got one copy in along with my DC VGA adapter that I got transfered from out of state. Awesome game, although I have the MVS version, I wanted something easier to take to a friends house, as I cant very well carry my MVS cab on my back. It was listed in our system as available well before Christmas though, odd.

Oh, and Rade, dont feel too bad. The competition isnt any better at all. Both stores suck, thats why my old boss and I are starting are own. Be on the lookout for Hardcore Heaven on the net sometime before years end. Neo, Sega, Nintendo, even horrid PS & PS2 games and systems.

The people that work at these places are not game players at all. It's ok if they aren't major game players, but for christ's sake, respect the people who pay your wages!

The people who work at these stores (near me anyway) are the most disrespectful wretches I've met.

Whenever I buy a game there, or ask if they have something, I am met with sneers and leery eyes. If they don't like games, these people have no business working there.

I just don't understand some videogame store employees. If you don't like games to any degree, why are you working there? If you don't care about what you are selling, go work at McDonalds with similar wages where it doesn't matter what you know.

It just makes a guy wanna be an internet shopping hermit.

Seriously it came out last December! Believe it or not. I remember because I had just got my DC for Christmas and I wanted it, but it was selling on eBay for $60 and I wasn't gonna go out like that. Then I found one copy at Toys R Us in early March, but it had been out for 3 months. Believe that.

I've seen a lot of KOF99 Evolution copies at several Toysrus stores.
The only problem is that those copies fly off shelves quickly than I thought.
If you were a DC player, get it ASAP.
EB reminds me of Babbage's coz you can buy any game and return it within 10-14 with no question ask.
Nowadays I only buy import game so it doesnt' matter to me

I was just lookin for one of these today. I stopped by Software Etc and they were out. Probably never get it again either. I bought MSX for PSX instead.

I would still like to find Evo tho'. If for no other reason, just to make sure the SNK ports keep moving.

BTW, did LB2 ever come out in the States? I never did see that one. I thought it had been picked up. Anybody have the skinny on this?

I could of sworn I saw the LB2 port reviewed in EGM. I'd assume if they reviewed it, it would have come out. Still, I've haven't seen it anywhere. Then again I searched for months for KoF:Evolution with similar success (ended up buying it at Agetec's website). I'd love to pick it up if it did get released - never got to try a LB game <IMG SRC="smilies/frown.gif" border="0">

No LB2 released here yet... here's hoping Agetec will pull out another...

As far as EB... well they are a bunch of morons. I have tons of EB stores in my vicinity and some have moron levels higher than others. There is one particular store where everybody working there is like over 40. Now please, dont misunderstand that comment. I dont care if you 3, 40 or 90 but know what the hell you are selling. They all act like some bored parents at a videogame store who cant seem to figure out what the hell they have to do there. The manager lady got pissed off at me one day for having the "crazy" idea of having her lookup a release date for me. Needless to say, she got put in her place.

As far as the other EB's, all have similar morons inside who swear the PSX/PS2 is the shit, and continue to fund Sony's quest for making bad games.

Babbages? They're online at http://www.gamestop.com . They're pretty much the same shit as EB, but atleast downhere, I've always had more respect for them because they somehow managed to seem a bit more intelligent than EB.

outsider: It's because the overall corporation that owns EB tries to hire people who DON'T know much about videogames at the cashier/lower management level because they feel that people with uber-knowledge about games will steal them. This dooms them to only being able to help out the most casual of gamers, but it's enough money to keep them going, so they don't care.

It is out. But like a lot of AgeTec releases, the distribution is spotty at best. I ordered a copy from a web-based game seller.

Its a great game and the BG's rock plus extra strikers and krizalid can be played!!!!!
