It seem that PLAYMORE has confirmed a PS2 version of KOF'2002:

"Playmore graces Sega with swansong classic.

Playmore, the firm that cannily gobbled up the intellectual property rights to the now-defunct SNK Corporation, has revealed that the development of King of Fighters 2002 for Dreamcast is almost complete and the game will ship to Japanese retail in time for a June 19 launch.

Annoyingly, the Dreamcast version is unlikely to make it to our shores, though Playmore has confirmed that a PlayStation 2 follow-up is expected to receive a global release."

The PS2 version has been confirmed sometime ago along with the DC version.But unlike the DC version, the PS2 version hasn't received a date as of yet...

Haha Ps2's 2001 hasn't even come out yet.

By the time Sony boys start playing KOF 2002 on their Ps2s, it's time for SVC Chaos or KOF 2K3!

Hey, how does KOF 2000 play on the PS2, does anyone know? Is it arcade perfect or the same as the dreamcast version?

it's basically the same, except the fact that there are some features in the PS2 which are not found in the DC version. (Party Mode, Memory Mode)

oh yeah, don't forget the secret strikers that are not found in the arcade and home versions.

you can get them by accumulating a certain number of wins in Party Mode.
