Hi guys,

well, the master List says 684
the Arcade Insert says 681
some other sites say 400 + something ...

What's the truth now - did the three megs get
lost somewhere in the production process <IMG SRC="smilies/wink.gif" border="0">

Just curious ...

From my understanding...

if you look at the size of the chips used you will come up with 684.

if you look at the space used on the chips you will come up with 681.

I do not know where 400 came from.

681 would be the actually game size.

On another note. It has been noted that Samurai Showdown II has gone through several production runs. the size of the game varies between some of the runs.

What I am wondering is what was missing or added to them?

Big Bruno, thx for the info. I didn`t know
the SS2 issue - where did you read that?

Irish Man: Yeah, I`m really from Munich - why
should I state something wrong?

Actually to tell you the truth now that I think about it I can not remember if it was SS2 or Metal slug NGM.

!arcade! and I were talking about it one day, apparently they had dumped the code and notice the difference.

It was back in Oct or Nov of last year though so I am kinda vague on the details.

Trash rally is another example of a cart that has a improper meg count. It is listed as 46 mega and I was told by a former employee of SNK the game code is actually around 11 mega. She worked for SNK USA around 91 or 92. She was also the one that emailed me on the BJ scene in burning fight.

But that was just what they told me. I have never dumped a game myself to verify. although trash rally does look like a 11 mega game <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">

Didn't the Master List originall have 682 in fact?

And Big Bruno, are you saying that Samurai II actually got larger, or only smaller? I can't imagine it getting any bigger but smaller seems possible. Also, anyone know how spaced out those multiple production runs of the game were?
