While yes that would be cool I doubt that Capcom would dare make the plunge into the home system market especially with the way the market will be saturated come November.

I don't think if they are going to do this, but if they do it will rocks. I want to see Capcom and SNK together making cool games like Capcom vs SNK or King Fighters vs Street Fighter or something like that. I hope if they make one with SNK, because Capcom without SNK... One word: Cheap

I do like capcom games but not when they keep releasing streetfigher 3 over and over again...that games sucks so badly...while the streetfighters are getting worse IMO the kof's are getting better...

Naomi is DC based arcade system, but the games run perfectly on the DC so why don`t
you buy DC instead of waiting such impossible
thing?

If it was cartridge based, the games would be WAY too expensive, plus the quality in sound will drop. The DC loads so fast, it is no big deal.

LOL, If you believe that, then what are you doing on a neo BBS???
IMO, Carts are better. Load time is load time.
Although the Dreamcast has the shortest load time ive ever seen.
It's nice, but it's not a neo.

I'm all about the cart but...

I can promise you companys want to do disc or nothing, look at Nintendo. Nintendo was the last company fighting for the cart, even when SNK made the NeoCD. Disc's are cheaper to manufacture, larger capacity and the majority of players want to see it.

Remember, the NeoGeo was a niche product. It was never designed for the masses and in that respect it was sucessful. But I think if anyone, from now on will do a system it'll be a disk of some manner...or until cyrstal dynamics become cheap.

Who knows. I've seen flashROM that hold 5gig now. It's expensive, but it's still there.

if possible capcom could make a new console cos their programmers have got into the ps1,sega saturn,dc and ps2 hardware.now,if they could put their laziness aside and gather the ideas they got from developing games from those mentioned console, then they could make a new console.if snk could make the NGCD and the NG:AES,why can't capcom do the same.besides they got tons of money and resources than snk.

capcom already came out with A home stystem just like the neo YEARS AGO. it was called the CPS changer and it was basicaly A home version of the CPS one arcade board. it never realy caught on and was strictly an undergroungd thing. the last game that came out for the sytsem was A watered down version of street fighter alpha. hope this helps.

Heres almost every game that came out for the Cps Changer, I have no clue whether or not I am missing a few -- Street Fighter II Turbo- Hyper Fighting, Tenchi Wo Kkurau II, Muscle Bomber, Captain Commando, Knights of the Round, Muscle Bomber Duo, King of Dragons, Quiz Capcom World 2, Street Fighter II, Final Fight, and Street Fighter Alpha. My uncle was one of the lucky people to obtain one of these rare machines but at the moment it broken and he is trying to repair it. As for a new capcom stand alone system, I wouldn't count on it but if they maybe teamed up with another company to work on one it could be a possibility.

Carts are cool I will admit however even carts now adays have friggen load times. Just look at some of the N64 carts. They have loading bars which defeats the purpose if you ask me.

I remember seeing Capcom's CPS Changer system in a Gamefan issue four or five years ago. I will look through my old issues to see if I can find it and post the info they have on it. It wasen't a whole lot of info but it was in the back part of the issue in the "Other Stuff" section.

Now that I think about it...I may have seen that as well.

Yeah, see if you can find it. I'd like to check that out.

Look- I the only Capcom games I like are Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo Revival (what the fuck happened to just plain street fighter 2) on GBA and Marvel VS Capcom. I also love the Mega Man games (my old avatar pic). I just think SNK fighters beat the hell from Capcoms fighters. I dont really like the KOF games. There is something so serious about them. I preffer to stick to Fatal Fury and Last Blade. JMO

As soon as I get home today I will check to see if I can find it. But, I am waiting for Metal Slug 3 from Videoconnect so if there is a God it will be here today so if it is give me a couple of hours to play with it then I will gladly look to see if I can find it. I keep 95 percent of my older mags in two totes in my closet.

Capcom did release a home console. It was called the CPS changer:

Nothing to do with SNK though.

PS. Street cost is around $200-$300 and they were only availible from Capcom Japan. With all of these home arcade systems poping up these days I don't see a need for this system.

Oh yeah! I remember wanting that a lot. Unlike a lot of people on the board I love the Capcom fighters.

If I'm not mistaken they have the same controller ports as the SNES.

I remember the Capcom ProStick (I think..I don't know what it was called) said on it it was for the Super Famicom or the CPS Charger. They had them in ElBo for a while, imports...maybe...5 years ago. One of those things that you mean to buy but ya don't. They had them real cheap. Kinda like two hockey pucks slammed together crooked with buttons on it.

Well cartridges certainly have their advantages, they have now almost completely
been replaced by discs of one form or another. I would be very surprised if there would be another home console (not portable) that would use cartridges. Discs are cheaper to manufacture and therefore less risky for game companies.

Rain they are very hard to find now. If you do find one i'd guess the person who is selling it wouldn't know that the original price was around $200-$300 so if you ever do find one thats for sale it would cost you from like $450-$1500, or maybe even more. I wish you best luck in finding one but it may be unlikely that you will find one for sale.

Note on the joystick pictured... I think it was called the Capcom Fighter Stick Pro... there was also a Capcom Super Fighter Stick that was an odd shaped handheld thing. It had a detachable cord at the back and as far as I know there were cords to hook into three systems.. Nintendo, SNES, and Genesis. The SNES/Nintendo cords came packaged in the same box and the genesis version was sold as a different joystick. I think the Nintendo version was like a dark colored box while the Genesis version was reddish. I own one of the Nintendo versions and a friend of mine had the Genesis version so I can verify that the ports at the back were indeed interchangible between versions.

anyways I just thought I would throw that out
