Well, I posted this at the end of BonusKun's thread at first, but I thought its a seperate issue (and I'd continue the "my 2 cents" thing going on here):

Shawn and Dion do share a level of Capitalistic "Bloodlust"

but, it feels like everyone is equating NeoStore.com with Neo-Geo.com... but they're really seperate animals.

I really think its bad to drag Neo-Geo.com's whole rep into what's done in the NeoStore. They are different entities that share similar colors, fonts, and the same owner -Shawn's ownership of this page is very, very loose (people like me, SamX, Biomotor, DolphinLord, Mouse_master, etc. do most of the work). Do we all buy from the Neo Store? No. In fact, I've only bought 2 things (MS3 and Sengoku3) simply because I've always thought its too expensive.

If you want proof that this site is unbiased in regards to the NeoStore -look at the reviews section. I put work in on that reviews page (which, as of now only has a review that pans Sengoku 3), and there's not outside influence. There are reviews up there by people I don't necesarily get along with in the forums, but that doesn't come into play in its administration -it remains focused on unbiased reviews (incidently, one of the main reasons I got into writing Neo Reviews was to counter Dion's attempts to sell converted copies of Ganryu, which I had on MVS and thought was a POS he was over praising just to sell).

When newbies come by and ask, people are quick to recommend mdgamesales, cosmic company, and other great dealers with -never- any reprecussions.

I think most can agree that these forums are, believe it or not, pretty damn liberal in how we judge terms like "abusive" and "spam." Heck, having a place called the War Room is proof enough.

!Arcade!
Buyrite
and dozens of other things and 99% goes off without to big of a hitch.

Yet now we're being all accused of fucking up Neo-geo.com because Shawn sold some expensive stuff on NeoStore.com? The forums/reviews/etc have nothing to do with that website. All we have is a very ordinary link that is on the left side of the screen (right above the ever-popular neo polls <IMG SRC="smilies/rolleyes.gif" border="0"> )

I just think that the line between the sites starting to get blurry with all of these arguments when it isn't.

Neo-Geo.com remains independent from NeoStore.com (in the way CNN is free from the corporate-family owned WB)

I like it, good way of puting things into view, my opinion exactly.

CNN is not seperate from Time Warner, and Neostore is not seperate from NG.com That so-called "unbiased" price guide is nothing but a straight up attempt to price gouge technicly outdated arcade game carts in a market that has MORE THEN ENOUGH carts availiable to meet demand. Shame, shame, shame on shawn and his capitalist running dog friends for trying to pull one over on dumb newbies who dont know any better. If all the carts were priced at about the $10-15 bux that they are really worth, then maybe you wouldnt have as many "rom kiddies" to worry about, neh? Owell, lets not let doctrine get in the way of making a quick buck. Afterall, if those ppl were real Neo-Geo fans they would buy that copy of minnasan off neostore for $100 instead of ebay for $10.

Oyeah, and your still a spoiled rich kid who cant play Mahjongg too.

Bobak is right about Neo-Geo.com being unbiased. Notice how Bobak can compare me to dion (bloodlust), state that the neo store’s prices are too high, and yet he remains a moderator and webmaster of his sections of NG.com.

A moderator is not obligated to share my views, or support the Neo Store. However, it would make sense that a mod would be supportive of Neo-Geo.com.

The Neo-Geo.com's ablitly to kick the neo-geostore in the stomach has never ceased to amaze <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0"> A selling forum. Come on people. How many stores have you been in that provide a space for the customers to sell the product to each other?

As far a price guides go, they are just a ball park figure in any collectable field. I helped run a comic gaming shop for years. So many items sold for 10x there guide price and some many more 10x less than guide. In the end the master was the customer and the key was cash flow. Get it out of the store and money in the bank for the next round.

Shawn, I NEVER had any problems with you, but this defies logic. Shawn, I respect you, but please address this issue to the best of your ability. I'm grateful for you hosting my FAQ, but why did you send an e-mail stating the systems would sell for $500? I can't condemn you for playing the market, but those posts were very upsetting to me. <IMG SRC="smilies/frown.gif" border="0">

Unfortunately, it wasn't his "last post ever" and he continues to spout his filthy gutter talk in the main forums. But with that kind of disgusting attitude, the whole Bonuskun thing really is meaningless. GA proves by this and many other trash posts that he was completely unfit to moderate chat, and should have been removed IMMEDIATELY. You guys can't deny this kind of lowlife behavior, there is no excuse for it, and you KNOW it went on in chat as well.

Weather or not GA can be a dick is his choice.

The whole incendent revolves around Shawn making a mistake and falling for the words of a pair of trolls*YamazakisGal & NSR* who lied *repeats* LIED in those emails to Shawn and thus manipulated him into attacking someone who hadn't done anything to deserve it.

You can excuse it anyway you want but this goes back to Shawn stepping into something he had no business messing with.

He knows very little of how IRC works and to walk into the chatroom and order people to do stuff in a place he HARDLY EVER visits was downright stupid.

No asking.

Just do what I say and anything else you say will be ignored. So until he comes up and takes responsiblity for his mistake Bryce then Shawn is being a hyprocrite with that post right above.

Derek, Shawn may have overstepped his bounds in his actions in the IRC chat area, I'm not disputing that. I can understand how you might have been upset by that, and also feel that going to you first would have been a better approach.

However, looking at GA's recent posts here, it seems painfully obvious that he should never have been in any position of authority in the chat area, or anywhere else for that matter. His attitude, language, and abusive nature are completely inappropriate for that . . . and you must agree with that, right? Do you still think he would be a good chat moderator, after that kind of trash post?

I refused preorders/prepayments & deposits. Stated that the condition, completeness, and serial #’s of the systems were unknown. A price could not be determined or offered until the stock arrives.

On the coming soon page and emails I quoted the price of $500+. This could have been misinterpreted I suppose, but one would think that this means the price will be > (greater than) $500.

+ = price can escalate greater than the quoted high value

btw, even if I offered the buyers of the new systems a full refund + $50, none would accept. The $50 bonus would merely serve as an incentive to cling to their newly acquired treasure, perhaps even inspire taboo such as re-selling.

To be honest he was very responsible with his position in chat. He also was a guy who admitted that he needed to learn how to deal with other people and control his temperment *Mookystains incendent* but, This still falls back on the one major point Bryce.

Shawn got Bullshit emails.

There are people here on these forums who knows what type of people they are.

Shawn goes in and jumps on GA's ass in regards to a problem that did NOT even happen in #neo-geo.

Of course this goes back to the fact that Shawn had acted on the words of 2 known trolls*WHY ISN''T HE ADMITTING HE GOT SUCKERED YET??* and made a mistake in blaming GA's for something he DID. NOT. DO.

As far as Ga's foul mouth he has every right under the sun to be fucking pissed and voice it thus due to what Shawn did to him. I personally I still annoyed at Shawn walking past me on this but, Hey it was his choice and the Chatroom suffered for it.

Um, no offense but citing Samhain as a credible source kind of ruins your argument from the start <IMG SRC="smilies/eek2.gif" border="0">. He has no credibility here, has done nothing but post trash for the last few months . . . about how the MS3 and Sengoku 3 releases were fake, when in fact they are authentic original SNK releases. Even in the face of overwhelming evidence, he continued and does to this day. I'm neither pro- nor anti-GA.

And that very much is law. In fact that was one of the first things I was told when I started using IRC back in 95.

I asked them how to use it and after listing all the pertinant commands they told me that if you're talking to someone who is in two different channels with you, NEVER cross the discussions over as it is rude to the others in the room.

Let alone carrying around your trash from room to room. When I started it was uncouthe to even talk about outside channel occurances.

This is like the third thread where Chimp is assuming that I'm defending GA when I am in fact questioning Shawn's inconsistent track record.

Why can't you just admit that Shawn fucked up? There is no 'argument' and the facts themselves are not up for discussion.

If you want I can recompile information I posted in other threads on the matter here so that you will know the whole story behind this, but to put it simply Shawn dicked over BonusKun for no good reason because he couldn't immediately get his way in a chat room he neither owns, frequents, or controls.

Goes to show you how 'seperate' the chat room, the site, and the Neo Store are.

I'm sure a few people would be interested in hear the whole story. I for one have talked my ass out of what happened and still some people debate it.

Knock yourself out doing it, I'm sure the most you would acheive is getting people to see the whole picture and not just parts.
