Like who the fuck is going to buy this and:

A) destroy it?

B) have the games in the first place?

People like this make me sick... <img src="graemlins/blowtop.gif" border="0" alt="[Blow Top]" /> <img src="graemlins/blowtop.gif" border="0" alt="[Blow Top]" /> <img src="graemlins/blowtop.gif" border="0" alt="[Blow Top]" />

I use ebay all the time, but I admit they're messed in the head about a lot of issues.

For instance, someone was complaining of being banned from ebay for selling imports, while frauds like this get free advertising (even if the product is delisted, it still shows up on searches and what not for a while).

Oh well, as always a powerful corporation with a virtual monopoly in the field is tripping over itself trying to make as much money as possible, while in the meantime its ignoring the little things it does that pisses off users.

three quid is less than what you would pay in ISP and phone charges if you dont have broad bandwidth connection. 700 meg of selective download takes a lot of time.
Hey Im not condoning it, but it may be practical for some people.
I got my complete Mame romset from Monsterous in Canada.
I prefer to play the real cabs, but emulation is not a dirty word :)

Are we talking bits or bytes.
MS#3 recently dumped is about 76 Megs in zipped form, and its one of the biggest rom images dumped to date (for mame) KOF 2000 would be the largest.
MS#1 is only 13 Megs.

It will be interesting to see how far this thread is allowed to go.
NeoGeo rules, also enjoy NeoRage :)

I think a lot of sellers are getting sick of Ebay. Especially since they keep jacking up the auction fees. I am starting to sell on Yahoo Auctions. Within the next couple of months I am going to move all of my auctions over to Yahoo.

time to kill this auction. Make way for Tora the Maiden Knight.

At least this the first auction like this in at least 2 months. If J00 know what I mean. For that time no one even bothered selling roms on PC until this guy fucked up rotation. #-_-

That's it...

Let's sick this bastard. <img src="graemlins/blowtop.gif" border="0" alt="[Blow Top]" />

Anyone want to go to SafeHarbour to help get this one pulled? <a href="http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/basics/select-support.html" target="_blank">Fire Away!</a> Once you're there, click the link to Trust & Safety.

It's not fair that legitimate import DC games get kicked off eBay when ROM CDs are left on. <img src="graemlins/shame.gif" border="0" alt="[Shame]" />

Edit- corrected URL

Actually in their defense, I've complained to Ebay Safe Harbor about MANY auctions of ROMs or burned DC games, and 99% of the time they responded quickly and killed the auction. Yahoo auctions, on the other hand, lets this kind of crap float all the time, and never shuts them down.

Yahoo auctions SUCK, and they NEVER remove questionable products like burned DC games and ROM CDRs. I'll never bother with them, Ebay is still the best online auction site IMO.

I was very upset to see all of my import auctions cancelled a while back. Use to always go on there to find rare stuff. Doesnt make sense that this stuff can find its way.

a bit is 1/8 of a byte so 1 byte equals 8 bits and so on. plus the roms are zipped, reducing the size even more

WTF?!? <img src="graemlins/veryangry.gif" border="0" alt="[Very Angry]" />

The same thing applies to drug... and everything's bad on Earth!

Would you apply the same concept to the drugs for example?

Not talking about drugs will not make them go away so... You're not so smart, are you?

Thats Ebay UK. Different email address to report auctions, its ukinvestigations@ebay.com instead of the usual safeharbor@ebay.com . :)

One down! Here's a reply to the email I sent to ukinvestigations@ebay.com

Hello Steve,

Thank you for taking the time to write to eBay UK.

Thank you for your report. We have reviewed the auction you have =
brought
to our attention and taken the appropriate action.

We appreciate your vigilance in helping us to keep inappropriate
auctions off eBay.

Best wishes,

Johanna M.

Here we go AGAIN,

Alright, I own an MVS setup, have owned an AES, and yes, I EVEN play with ROMZZZ. <img src="graemlins/eek2.gif" border="0" alt="[Eek 2]" />
All of you poor disillusioned fuckers that cling to the belief that piracy killed SNK need to grow the hell up. Know what killed SNK? BAD BUSINESS DECISIONS! Marketing games that were a niche of a niche with no mainstream shit to keep the revenue flowing. Wanna know why Capcom still managed to keep pumping out 2D fighting games people stopped caring about years ago and still remain profitable? Shit like Resident Evil. RE series blew up big, allowing Capcom to still kick out the fighters/shooters/puzzles and still make mad cash. It was SNK's failure to innovate and develop properties with mainstream appeal that cost them. I do NOT condone selling ROM's for cash (I think if you want em that bad you should have the means and a shred of intelligence to be able to find em) but EMULATION DID NOT KILL SNK. Repeat this to yourself, raging rom haters. Learn it. Live it. There is no more SNK being 'hurt' by rom dumps. If you wanna crack down on HK pirates that actually sell fake carts, so be it. But Joe Schmoe who fires up KOF'98 on his MAME setup is not the enemy here. You guys are letting petty jealousy and the $1000's of dollars you've blown on your collections cloud your thinking.

I don't think most of us hate emulation; we hate when it is sold and therefore abused.
