I have mixed feelings about this MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game). Personally, I am really anxious to try it out. However, I worry about the success of the game as a whole. I don't know about Korea, but here in the states I don't think the whole KOF/Southtown setting is popular enough to warrant an online game. For that reason alone, I don't think the game will ever see the light of day here in the States. Fans could import it (that is, if it is able to run on a US Windows system), but they stated they do not offer an in-game translator so understanding people may be a problem.
Now about the game, I don't see why so many here on the boards aren't as excited as I am about it. Maybe most of you are too young to own a Credit Card (so you can pay to play it online), but I would think just walking around in Southtown as Terry Bogard would be a trip. Sure, it's kinda lame that there will be 200 Terrys, 200 Ioris, 200 Kyos etc., but hopefully they will be able to diversify character creation/development in a way that will allow for a sense of individualism. I really don't know how Korean developers make their online games (some of them are VERY weird and would never fly in the US), but I think a KOF simulation game would be hella fun. Training, talking, participating in tournaments, joining gangs, buying an apartment, driving around in a car/on a bike or just picking up a baseball bat and beating the living shit out of Choi and Chang...SWEET!!! Hopefully it's not just a glorified 3D chat room.
Whatever happens, I will definately be looking into this game in the future and depending on their stance with US players (if they make it easy on us to sign up and play), I would say there is a 95% chance of me picking this bad boy up.
