Message Boards and Chat.

Well I am glad to see everything is back to normal. I think its been said enough that these hackers are nothing more than cowards and losers who have nothing better to do than cause trouble online. To those of you who did it and I KNOW you will be reading this!! YOU HAVE ACCOMPLISHED NOTHING!! for your own personal crusade.

What you have done is accomplished this!! You have brought NG.com together!! Shawn, Mouse_Master, Nick_th_fury, Bobak, BonusKun and myself have had time to talk and get to know eachother, settle some differences and bring something good out of the wrong that has been done to this community.

I am pleased to say the "OFFICIAL" Neo-Geo.com chatroom is back. The mods for this chatroom are:

We will work together this time to make chat a better place for all at neo-geo.com to enjoy.

I believe Shawn will be putting links up to chat soon but for now you can find the Java connection on the front page of Neo-Geo.com under the News section.

What is the best way to really get started in IRC? I don't like the Java chat much. Can you recommend a good client for Win2000?

...and how do you pick a server?

Like the man GA said, Chat is back but this should be mentioned that we are not here to play IRC War Room.

I.E. Flooding/Spamming won't be tolerated and as such we want all people to be able to have a good time.

DG glad to hear you made some friends!! That is what chat is all about. We as a community can talk to eachother in real time!!

I saw a couple of guys the other night talking in there and one said "Hey I am glad we have chat, I finally got to meet some people I always wanted to talk to!!!"

Made me feel good to see that because I have always felt chat could be a great asset to the community if ran properly. I for one admit it hasnt always been run the way it was suppose to but this is a different time and all of us on the chat staff are committed to making this work this go around. Hopefully Shawn will have the links up soon but we should give him time as I know the man has had a very full plate with all the nonsense as of recent.
