NGTemple.com Closing 1/30/03, To Return?

Heya fellow Neophytes, some sad news to report.

Due to many recent web hacks & low funds, <a href="http://www.neogeotemple.com" target="_blank">http://www.neogeotemple.com</a> will be closing as of 1/30/03, a full explanation is posted on the site.

And as the update says, I want to thank all site readers/visitors for your support.

Also, does anyone have any suggestions for a good host? Volunteers GREATLY appreciated

That really sucks man. Your site was one of the ones I scoped out first on my journey back into Neo fandom. Your reviews, info and insight will be sorely missed. Thanks for all your hard work.

I'll have to talk to my friend, but it's a possibility that we could host you at hivebalur.net... The address would have to be <a href="http://www.hivebalur.net/whatever" target="_blank">www.hivebalur.net/whatever</a> though, so if you didn't like that you could get a redirector or something... That would suck to see that site go man, your reviews are awesome and so was the site. I'll make a few phone calls and get back to you. wink

Lee, that really sucks. I remember back in March when I started looking for NeoGeo system info (to buy one), your site was the FIRST one I found. I thought it was fuckin' great. It still has been (major props to your toilet), and it shall be missed.

Hope to see it pop up again down the road.

You know how much i think of your site its is a true tradegy, there are'nt enough neo sites around and not many as high quality as yours!!

If you want, I have a web server you can put it on (www.zebesfiles.org). I'm not doing anything with it but using it as storage for linking files remotely and such. Hell you can have the front page..

It's sad to see your site gone.

I'd volunteer to host it but:
a) my pay site is starting to get close to exceeding it's bandwidth already and I really don't recommend my host.
b) I could host it from home but the connection sucks, and well I'm on DHCP so the IP would change, and well, the bandwidth sucks (especially since I have to cap the upload bandwith on the webserver during the day since my GF works from home and does WebEditing.)

The one advantage though, is that I've got about 2 gigs of HD space to play with.

The temple is hands down the most helpful and informative site for Neo reviews on the web! It was your site that got me back into the Neo after years of misguided Neo-neglect.

The passion for games like Ninja Master's and KOF 98 present in your reviews makes people like me (who at the time didn't have the games) go absolutely nuts trying to get our hands on them.

Maybe you should ask for donations? I'm game.
