Just because it has been dumped, why it is dead? 99% of Neo Geo games have been dumped and yet we continue to sell, buy, collect, and trade for them. I buy Neo Geo games because:

a) I am a collector/gamer
b) I love to play Neo Geo games
c) Buying new games might ensure newer release

I really don't care if Dick or Harry is playing ROMS on his computer and you shouldn't either.

A majority of the games available for the neo geo have been playable on emulators for quite some time now, yet the hobby of collecting these original games seems to be unaffected. I guess it bugs folks that they're spending big $ on neo games when others are playing for free, but I don't really care what others do... I've yet to regret buying a neo cart that was emulated.

"will the madness EVER stop?"
The ownership of information like video games and other electronic media will eventually become obsolete. Information sharing is no longer centralized, dominated by only a few corporate giants... So with the democratization of information brought on by the internet (& future technologies), corporations will have to adapt the way business is done... Its not an easy prospect, but eventually copyrights as we now know them will cease to exist.

I'd still rather play my Sengoku 3 cart than a rom anyday. its not like people who would have bought the cart have decided against it because it might be emulated. Either you're the type who'll spend hundreds on a neo geo game or not, I can't see that changing by the availability of roms. Maybe i'm being naive, tho'

No, Neo Geo is not dead, and Sengoku 3 is not dead either. There is no substitute for playing original Neo Geo games on a home system, or in an arcade cabinet (or with a supergun). The emulated versions are OK, but not close to the originals. Unless you have an EMU arcade cabinet, they won't be close.

I mean, even a 19" or 21" monitor (for emulated games) doesn't come close to a 27" or higher TV for Neo games. And PC controllers suck as well, compared to the original Neo one for home system, or arcade cabinet sticks.

Sengoku 3 is very much alive, my copy is enroute to me now . . . and the Neo Geo will live on in its fans for a long time to come!

pfff.
everybody can play neo games.

i'm sure a lot of people that says now" fuck you neorage, roms etc..." are the firct persons that played on neorage.

neorage can make a better view of a game and i 'm sure a lot of people on theses boards have a lot of roms on their computer.

it's not the same thing.
playing and collecting/playing.

let that kind of guys play.
nobody cares...

I have to say this again, because it seems like no one is listening to me. Why the hell are you posting the link to the site that has these roms. Speksnk is not a very popular site, and you have provided it for any fence sitters free of charge. If you have such a problem with ROMs, why the hell post a link right to their page for everyone to use! Now everyone that comes here, registered or not will know exactly where to find the ROMs... seems like that is doing more damage then the ROMs just sitting there.
