yeah does look kinda sucky, anyone play zuppapa or whatever that can confirm that it sucks too? i haven't heard anything about that one other than i heard they released it. vektor logic needs some new developers hehe. ohh yeah but good news is they got hyper neo geo 64 pcbs with 3 games new for $300... they said they bought 8,000 of them puppies. they even have samurai 64 2 or samurai spirits not to be confused with the ss64 title.

homebrew kits would rock... i could see the possibilities imagine being able to convert old ass arcade classics to your neo geo or even editing one of the games in some weird way, metal slug K... my face on top of marcos face or something mwuahaha that'd rock and be funny as hell. 10 gold copies hmmm bet they're lucky if they sell those 10.

Well, everyone is certainly entitled to their own opinion, but I'll reserve judgement until the game actually comes out. And for the record, those that have played Zupapa that I have spoken with/read the posts of have really liked it. It is an old school, 2-d, platform puzzler, but why it that bad? It looks quite excellent to me. I know Neo Sparks is not Last Blade 3, but it isn't supposed to be.
And BTW, that post on their page is at least six months old and maybe older.

It is time for us to move forward and start supporting companies like Arcade, Vektor Logic, and any company that makes games for the Neo Geo. Yes, for now the game might not looked good. But, until we have played it, it is really unfair to say the game is going to suck. This attitude sure won't get us any better games and if you don't like the game when it comes out, don't buy it. Go play with your Gamecube or Xbox. But for now lets encourage them to continued the support for our beloved NEO GEO. Yea, it is late call me what you want ...

vectorlogic is a company that
wanted to make games for the NEOGEO mvs.
they bought a huge intial inventory from
SNK as well as developed developer kits
to make games with.
their hopes were to keep the MVS system alive
by allowing 3rd parties to create games
for the MVS outside of the archaic development
means already used by SNK itself.
this was during the aruze regime when
~no~ games came out for the system
except for kof 2000 and NitD
which the first was a rush job and
the latter a game that
was shelved for the longest time.
so if you think that making homebrew games
and making special editions of them to support
various charities is so bad then i guess thats too bad for you...
thats what aruze thought and therefore gave
them legal heat for trying to do this from

What is all this bashing of Zupapa... all from people who have not played it... well I have played it and I own it, and I can tell you it is great.... better than NitD and as many of you know I really, really liked that game, as did others. There is a review on this site by Bobak, he played the game at my place and really liked it as well, why don't you check out his review... Stop bashing shit you have never seen/played, it doesn't make sense!

You know, that page is pretty old, and there aren't even any screenshots to see. To everyone who wants a fighter: back the truck up. A few programmers are not going to make a MOTW quality game on their first get-go on hardware they've never developed for.

Good point NL about the company.
The name means quality to me.
Its not the same scenario, "any rose with the same flowers would smell the same"
