As I am sure that many of you are aware, therage.com had (maybe still has) a sale of Japanese King of Fighters 2000 neo geo carts for the outstanding price of only $150.00

I bought one.

It got here today. Upon first inspection, it defenetly was not "new" I don't remember if the ad at their site said it was or not but regardless it was in SOLID MINT condition.

Little details set it apart from being new...that only we the anal notice...

At first I had a little trouble getting the sound to work correctly, but a few swipes with rubbing alcohol on some Q-tips did the job perfectly.

Overall an outstanding deal for $150.00 and I now have another piece of NeoGeo history to play.

I recommend this deal to everyone on this site but HURRY...supplies are limited!!!

Enjoy!

Hey buddy.. I have heard a bunch of people say that KOF 2K out of the box needed cleaning to get it to work 100%. LWK, I believe, mentioned there was a residue or shaving that needed to be blown, wiped away... I think that the cart you got was new. I also have seen this with some new MVS kits... for example my Zupapa kit had no sound for the first 20 or so inserts... than, it took, and never gave me a problem again!

LOL,
It has always been that way.
Always.
It all ways cracks me up, too see people think the mvs is cheaper.
It isn't. It becomes cheaper over time.
Inititally The Home games have always been much cheaper.
That's why, back in th day, everyone prefered home carts over MVS.
Till just in the last couple years actully.

I picked up 2 of those when it was still $150. Just got em today...tried one, so far so good. I think therage.com was just trying to move inventory "clearance...only a few left" Then they saw they were moving fast and upped the price. They no longer mention they have "a few left". Tricky...but still a good deal!
