Can someone explain what's going on?

Well, I'm afraid most of us don't know much about it just yet. It's a new 2D system that is very much done the way you would a new MVS to come out would be. It has no plans to come to home just yet, and is made by Brezzasoft if I'm not mistaken.
Aren't they the ones doing KOF2001?

Hmmm,
Well, most of us here love 2-D games and Neo Geo. Well, this may be the next big thing. Plus, since Brezzasoft owns that and is making games for the Neo, there's your bridge.
Also, the fact that a new Double Dragon is being made "either for MVS for the Crystal system" makes it even more important. I mean, a new Neo game is big news, and the fact that it will come to one or the other must make you want to know *something* about the "other" system!?

The Crystal System is related to the neogeo in the following ways:
1. It is made by Brezza, a company made of ex SNK exployees, it is sometimes considered to be the next 2d king...
2. Kof2001 is distributed or made by Brezza, they didn't program the game tho, Eolith and Snk made the game, Brezza is just making the carts i think now since SNK died.

I think that will never happen.
The proposed fan base of such a system would be solid, but not huge, this would prolly lead to a financial desaster for the dudes over at Brezza.
So far I'm not too excited about the Crystal.
Let's wait and see.

I'll give it a chance but I just want some hardware that will make everybody turn their heads and say DAAAMN!! I want some hardware that can rival Naomi. Its about time that SNK get the recognition they deserve.

I gotta give it up for the PGM. That thing's got some muscle. I played a PGM fighting game in Little Tokyo (which may have been Oriental Masters, not sure) and the game was fuggin awesome! It had SF3 quality animation and great character designs, sorta similar to Warriors Of Fate. And hot damn would I love to try DoDonPachi2!!!!!!!
Totally. I want a side scroller...but you know what a so-so fighter would be a disapointment...but what if it was a GOOD fighter <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">? I mean, maybe history won't repeat itself (I may be alone, and I don't think so, I didn't like Double Dragon V or whatever it's called...they used to have it in the arcade at the nearest mall. God that was trash. And it was a slot1 so it was a total wash.).
