So step right up and guess the final number. Will it be the biggest MVS ever? Will it at least be larger than 2k? Or will it be the first KoF smaller than league bowling?

See here's the secret: <IMG SRC="smilies/wink.gif" border="0">

KoF 2k1 is a text adventure! All those screens we've seen are it. All that is left is to add the SNK-grish, and it will weigh in at a whopping 49 megabits.

Expected homecart price: $268.00

MVS: $1,600.00

Well since the true art of programming is putting out leaner and cleaner code each time... I would hope it would be smaller. SNK never liked to use compression in their games, and it accounted for a lot of wasted space. See you all love bigger games, which goes against what it is supposed to be... more optimal code. This new company may have better optimizing routines that make the cart look smaller, but are actually very efficent with large data. My guess is around the 680 - 720 range... but who knows, I mean hell if you guys want a true giga game, it can be done, but it doesn't mean it will look or sound any better, just bigger :|

Well, the CODE part of neo games rarely exceed 24Mb, so code optimisation won't change much on cart sizes...

I think DATA could be sometimes optimized, best example is Metal Slug X with a lot of wasted place. Also, not all games fills the ROMs entirely.

Anyway, when you're into producing 64Mb parts by thousands, your're not going to redo 8Mb parts. Wasting 56Mb is surely cheaper...

My guess is that KOF2K1 will be around 800 Megabits.

I'm guessing 801GigaFlops <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">. I love that unit of measurement.
