KoF 2001: English release confirmed

Production of English version King of Fighters 2001 is confirmed for home cartridge. Same as English Metal Slug 3 & English Sengoku 3, the English version of KoF 2001 will be limited to a 500 piece production, worldwide.

Both versions of KoF 2001, English & Japanese, will be released March 14th, 2002. The expected price of Japanese KoF 2001 is $310 for most markets. The Neo Store’s price of both versions will be set to $295. Preorders are now open.

Coolness. Thanks for the heads up, Shawn. I was a bit confused about NCS's Asian/English announcement from a week or so ago myself. I've gotten the last two English releases from the Neo Store and have been quite happy with them. Nice to know I can buy 2k1 with confidence and know exactly what I am getting.

Wow great news!! I guess I'll call NCS Monday and cancel my order, unless they're getting the English version as well. Based on what you say, I bet they'll only get the JPN version unless they buy in bulk from you.

Either way, I always prefer the English version and will order that one if it is made available. I pick up JPN versions if no other is available or if they're cheap/available . . .

Thats one of the best to, and also has the boss team, the only kof with them in it to.
You will get good use out of 96.

yea KOF 96 is my favorite KOF.
The boss team is awesome.

Japanese Neo carts have the most beautiful art period. The us is good for the spine, but games aint no trophy room they are meant to be played.

So I guess I have a few questions on topic of course.

1. Is the 500 english guarented exclusively for Neo-geo.com or is there a time the preorders need to be in by?

2. Is it Pre pay or is your card charged on shipping?

3. Any chance of also caring promotion materials for sale. (flyers, shirts, posters, hats, Epooch resin models of the characters, etc)

Ever notice that Shawn only posts when he has a sale at his store? You all whine about Gunsmith and ON.com, but at least Gun has the decency to talk to and to get to know his board members.

Also that thread in Suggestions about "Custom Ranks", forget about it. Why would Shawn bother with it? Unless there's $$$$ involved it won't happen.
