Expected MVS/Crystal Titles for 1st Quarter 2002

SNK vs. Capcom, expected as early as February, as late as early summer. (MVS)

Metal Slug 4, March 2002. (MVS)

Double Dragon, yes, another one; however, it is still undetermined if this will be released for the MVS or the Crystal System. Most likely Crystal. We can't bare play another Double Dragon on the MVS. <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">

I can only see good things the two top titles can do for the future of NEO GEO. Yes, I've heard it from many people already, the arcade market is dead, but who cares? As long as they keep pumping out titles for us, I'm happy.

If anyone is wondering how "SNK" manages to make any money at all, it's from the International market, primarily Mexico, South America and Europe. It's dead in the U.S. as we all know here.

I'm genuinely excited about SvC.

Since I've been around here there hasn't been on new release I've been looking forward to.

I don't buy AES games so 80% of the 'new releases' have nothing to do with me. I'm less than interested in Sengoku and to be 100% honest, as cool as the series is, I still haven't gotten into KoF yet. NeoGML is doing his best to bring me over, and I will probably start playing them eventually, but they still really had little to offer me.

I'm pretty damned excited for SNK vs Capcom, especially since it's an MVS game.

I'm also intriuged by the Double Dragon game. I always loved the original arcade game...still do.

Well i only owned metal slug original and got bored with it very quickly and would never buy another version until it goes down below 50 dollars on mvs. as for snk vs capcom, i would love to own that game more than kof2001 but again i cant afford to buy these games till they drop to $250
Now the question is are all the mvs machines in the arcades going to take this game on as there have been a couple of them around now on other machines, and I did hear it would be slightly different than the first cross over game with a few changes, so are they aiming this game at the arcade market or the people who have the mvs machines at home? and will it be released on the aes aswell?

Metal Slug 4 = "over kill" & "silly". The space aliens and various monsters are a joke!
I like the "dark edge" of the 1st.
Capcom vs SNK would be icing on the "cake" for SNK.. I would be totally satisfied especially if Raiden returned with the option to use his alter ego,Big Bear <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">Tiptonium that a nice site! Love the layout!

SNK vs Capcom - Ahhh yes. about time that SNK Neo Geo do the cross-over justice Neo Geo MVS style. about MK'ing time!!!

Now we get to see the SNK characters in their former glory, style, and finesse that only SNK can deliver. damn SNK make this one in same vein (with inovative improvements of course) KoF2K1 game engine style. time to see the tides in favor of the SNK warriors and make the Capcom warriors weak this time around. or better yet just make the KoF warriors into their rightful norm power the way SNK intended them to be, not Capcom!!!

Regarding Sam Sho 5, during this time period SNK was going down and given the failure of parts 3 & 4, they didn't want to take a chance at 5.

If Neo Geo is to survive in one form or another, they need a BIG hit and SNK vs. Capcom is the title they are banking on. It's rare that SNK has had consecutive titles that really drew a large following; however, this time around I think they're finally going to hit it.

All my information comes from employees that still work in SNK and alongside Kawasaki. If any of you has had a friend in SNK, they can even tell you that SNK/Neo Geo information is never concrete until you actually see the product. I am completely confident about SNK vs. Capcom and MS4 (as I wrote up about it's release when I left the AMOA show in Vegas in October) being released in the coming year.

Common sense tells you guys, Neo Geo isn't going to survive on Zupapa or it's sequel. They should've made that game and NITD for AES exclusively.
