What's going on here?

I don't know what happens here and I dont' want to know more about it.
Just got confused to so many posts these days about someone "got ripoff from others in Neo stuff" or "says one thing but does another way".....bla bla bla......
I'm totally lost in here...........

I dont' take any side but here is my opinion:

1) games in Neo Store is kinda overprice
2) Shawn has right to do anything he wants. But I just feel funky that he complains about ripoff from NGF b4 and all of suddent he's selling their games. I saw Shawn's responses to this issue but I just don't get it. Just like Squaresoft and Big N......but NGF is the worst over all.
3) Shawn got ripoff by Arcade? I dont' think Arcade is that stupid to ripoff ppl coz he's trying so hard to promote his convertor and AES II so there is no way he tries to intend ppl.....I dont' know anything but just my opinion.

These are just my opinions....correct me if I say something wrong. Hopefully I'll not get banned from this forum or put me into jail by slander.....

I agree that here is some conspirancy going on.. Shawn seems to be double sided. He has suddenly good releationship with NGF/Dion and surely Chris again. Brainwash'd? I can't belive that. I don't want to belive that. But to sell the NGF KOF2000 here at neo-geo.com, is a bad move. But Shawn can do what evere he likes. What i'm trying to say is, that we need more info about what is going on here. Arcade should step forward and explain him self about the deal with Shawn. Suddelnly he has dissapeard from the forums. If he wants that his AES II will be a success, he should treat every seller professionally, not mentioning the customers.

Sensible points:

-I conciously avoid buying converted carts like many, many people on this list -and like many people, I don't need to hear the issue brought up every time people mention a company they don't like.

T-his is like cigarettes: Some people are going to smoke anyway...so just deal with it and let them poisen themselves. ...then again, to take that analogy futher, smokers shouldn't go out of their way to blow second hand smoke at those who are ferevently against it.

-Pointing out new findings is one thing. Continually beating a dead horse is another.

-I just want people to start de-emphasizing this crap and re-emphasizing the system.

No,it's not Palestine but it's our hobby's. The Neo Geo. These issues are very little if you compare that with Palestine but yet Palestines problems are not for us to deside and solve.. Neo Geo scene we can affect..

Regarding Arcade:

I wondered from the start why ARCADE would choose to market his products through neo-geo.com or anyone else for that matter. He has received good word of mouth regarding the converter on these forums and he has also put them on eBay with reasonable success.
IMO, he has already reached the attention of everyone who would consider purchasing the converter at $400 so there is little point in going through a middle man unless he wished to transfer inventory risk to Shawn. If he did break a contract, then he will have to deal with his reputation. I would like to hear his side of the story befor I make any further judgements.

About the rug:

What proof do you have that it is fake, or is that just an allegation?

Regardless, providing information publicity about what you spend on Neo Geo and name droping expensive material posessions you have increases your exposure to people wanting to make a buck off of you with real stuff (or fakes).

I think it is important to keep people aware of the dis-honest things going on in our hobby. I did not even know what NGF was until a couple of weeks ago. I may not be an expert on Neo-Geo but even I thought their EBAY auction ads were very dis-honest. Now endlessly ranting on this subject doesn't help any one, but I have noticed that there are more newbies than just me here and letting people know about dishonesty is important. Sure you can take your chances with questionable people and products, but if you are well informed at least you know what you are getting into. Fake products of any type hurt whatever collector hobby you care to mention. And if we are forced to deal with NGF for new product now , maybe being informed and putting pressure on this business may help them see that they need to treat every one with respect. Or maybe not. I agree, the prices seem to be going higher. In response to this natural occurrence, I’m paying higher prices. There are now merchant account fee’s, Verisign fee’s and shopping cart fee’s. I have also experienced thousands in loses due to lost mail, damaged shipments, and bad deals. The customers are protected! I am not. I just spent an additional $1200 for the WIN2K hosting and $650 for the Infopop support to get the board running again. Btw, sure is nice to have the forums back. The warm welcome feeling makes me happy.

Now I’m complaining about the way Arcade dealt with me. Pretended to be my best friend, provided me with signed contracts, then turned his back on me when business credentials were requested. You do realize that I will eventually carry his converter as well. I will purchase from VGD, or perhaps even Arcade someday. Unless he breaks a 3rd deal. It’s also inevitable because someone will want to sell or trade in their converter. Then I suppose this will blow up as another big soap opera. How I was upset about being played by Arcade, then I’m in bed with him because I’m selling his converter or AES II.

I don’t know if Arcade would have sold me the converters or not. I know he was more than willing to accept the wire or else he wouldn’t have given me wire instructions and his personal wire information. Would he have sent them? I cannot answer this for you, or else I would have sent the wire. Put your self in my shoes, would you trust Arcade enough to send him $55,000, no questions asked?

As far as Arcade promoting the AESII, he’s doing a most excellent job. When he said he had over 100 employees there was a bit of truth to it, only exaggerated many fold. His advertising team is working around the clock here on the forums.

Hehe its kinda of funny that you people are getting upset over frickin VIDEOGAMES!! Im really new but from what i gathered i have to agree with Shawn 100%. It seems Arcade is probably one or two guys. Having a 100 employes is insane for a company dealing in a niche market. And it seems to be certain members of this board are in bed (cough cough cough NEoLord cough) with Arcade and think they can do no wrong. Hmmm
