The domain neo-geo.com is in the process of being transferred to webhosting.com. There will probably be downtime experienced during this time. Hopefully everything will be transferred successfully and the wait will be short. This is a mandatory change which will allow for increased bandwidth.

The domain name will remain the same. www.neo-geo.com & www.juzam.com can both be used to access the site. I am in negotiations for the domain name www.neo.com, but not sure if its worth the high price tag. The downtime will be sometime between now and tomorrow. During the downtime, I will download the 200 MB site from hostway and upload it to webhosting.

Hey, Shawn, just my 2 cents; I like the "neo-geo" URL as opposed to just "neo." "Neo" sounds like a Matrix page or someting. I loved the Matrix, but I think you're paying a premium for the URL bacause of the movie. I don't think it's worth it. It's your page, but I think your money is better spent on additional bandwidth or something. Either way, I'll certainly still be here.

Thanks for the advice everyone. The seller of neo.com wanted $150k and would not budge from that price. I figured it could have increased traffic, but after hearing that neo-geo.com says it all there will be no need for the additional domain pointer.

Its a visual representation of all that they did to actually help the Neo Geo.

I like it better than the embarrasingly amateurish crap they used to have on it. That family deserves to be dealt with, remember what the Italians did to Mussolini?

Already tried buying their dead domain name a long time ago and failed, but I will try again. I emailed every contact I could think of and they never so much as replied. Sure would be nice to have a domain name that is at the top of most search engines for the neo. I don’t know why the search engines haven’t removed snkusa.com from their sites by now.

The domain transfer to webhosting.com has begun. Sometime between now and the next 48 hours the site will be down. The site consists of 14,000 individual files totaling 200 megabytes. We will be going from a Unix platform to a NT. Neither hostway or webhosting will manage the site transfer because they do not want to be liable. Depending on my Internet connection at the time, and possible unforeseen complications, this process may take anywhere from several hours, to a day or two.

This period would be a good time for !Arcade! to open his BBS & site to the public.
