I just played Rage of the Dragons down at Golfland and I have to say it's a pretty damn good game. The game plays fast and there are lots of costumes. The characters are likable and the tag system works very well. The graphics are very good too. Not the best I've ever seen on the Neo, but still very good. If you can make it down, try the game, it's well worth it. P.S. Abubo, the big, bald headed badie from Double Dragon is a boss.

I guess I'll be at Golfland tomorrow. Gonna look up the movelist first though, then gonna try the game for a minute or so and if the game is choppy as the movie, I'm heading back to 2001 and practice more combos. Then head up to AI for some 2001 competition.

from the test:
If you were to add up the sum of this game's parts, so far it should sound about average. Fortunately, Rage of the Dragons does have one thing going for it that makes the difference between pretty much all good and bad fighters, and that is good controls. It succeeds where games such as Martial Champions (one of many fighter clones to overlook this most important feature) have failed by making attacks feel accurate and flow together perfectly. Essentially, by making the controls feel proper, Evoga seems to have saved an otherwise average game.<hr></blockquote>

I think the control is the most important key of a fightng game!
If a game has a really good control than this game can only be good! Since rage got good graphisms overall than this game is probably one of the best on the neo!
Of course I hae to test it first before spaculating about its value but think the testator from eventgaming got stange priority to evaluate a fighting game...
Anyway I thing this game is great!

Everyone seems to have good things to say about this game. The graphics look good too. I just wish there was somewhere close that I could play it at!

I wonder who the boss is after Abubo. I hope its two bosses that tag instead of one super evil guy/gal.
Even though i'll grab it on AES I wish it was in an arcade in my area. ah well.

I played rage of the Dragons at SHGL while I was in LA for E3 and came away disappointed. I hope it's still a beta because the game has serious design flaws. It's way too easy to do a combo that takes half an opponent's life bar and those combos with super cancels to the CD canned combo are ridiculously easy. In fact, I got through the whole game on my 5th try with just Alice using the same damaging combo over and over (jump C, C, -> + A, DM or SDM, if wall hit, CD canned combo). Even the final boss, Johann, ate it over and over. The graphics aren't that nice either. The sprites need more color and frames of animation but the illustration art is good. You can't really hear the sound on any game at SHGL except for the Bemani stuff so I can't comment on that. Overall, I'd have to say to people who haven't played it to not expect that much from it or you'll be sorely disappointed.

You see, this is when it really sucks ass to live in West Virginia. I will never see ROTD in an arcade around here!! They're still pumping quarters into Marvel Vs. Street Fighter for God's sake. When's the AES release? If I play my cards right I might be able to get this sucker as a wedding gift!!!
