KoF95 BGs...SS2 BGs...man what's next? WorldHeroes meets KoF2k3? Hell no!
After everybody thought 2K1's backgrounds were crap, maybe they realized that they could not do any better and so put some old stuff in the game...
They could've redrawn the BGs atleast to fit to the KoF style.
I don't think that this is a good sign....just recycling some stuff, making some money and leaving the business...that's how I think everything is going to end.
And why do they reproduce KoF99 for the PSX? The game is available everywhere for less then 10 bucks...why would anyone care to buy a minty fresh second-edition KoF99 for the PSX?</strong><hr></blockquote>
quit your bitching.
if you dont like it dont buy it.

It is like a present to the Dreamcast Users. Would it be better to include only the original 00 backgrounds?
To your KOF99 question, maybe the regular release was so successfull that it is high probably that a rerelease would be profitable?
Why do you think they are leaving business? Just because they use old backgrounds in a console port? Come on how many companies are just doing 1:1 arcade -> console ports. The KOF 00 backgrounds are just an additional feature.

i have a problem with people that
endlessly complain about what they re doing wrong.
what do you expect.
its a two year old game.
and its coming out for a dead system.
if you dont like the outcome dont bitch about it.
nobody cares.

If you think that this port is great and that my view is wrong, you could tell me and give reasons and arguments for your opinion instead of posting this useless crap.
I prefer a conversation instead of getting flamed.</strong><hr></blockquote>
o so i m whining now?
i told you to shut the fuck up in nice terms actually.
if you dont like the idea of getting a port of a
2 year old game that they throw in extra stuff
then whatever.
but stop bitching about it.
playmore isnt running out of old ideas.
they re just using their library.
thank you for feeling the need to over analyze my
comments though and writing a one page book report
about it though.

As Rarehero said the DC is a dead System. The modifying of the backgrounds would be too expensive for two years old game for a dead system. The MVS games are no 3rd Company games. The developer are all belonging to the NeoGeo Group. It is like SEGA with their teams. Games for PS2 and GBA will high propably come, because they searched for Programmers with experience on that platforms for a while. The SNK NeoGeo Group is SNK only with a other structure than the former company. The programmers are mostly the same, especially at Brezza. The fact that they are working on new hardware should be enough proof that they are taking it serious.

Mega and Eolith are not belonging to the NeoGeo Group.
KOF2k1 developed by Brezza
Slug4 developed by Noise
Rotd developed by Noise/Evoga
KOF2k2 developed by Brezza
The korean companies are mainly providing money and producer. The developing (programming) part is done by Brezza and Noise.
Mystery you are talking about Playmore like a company that has nothing to do with SNK. Playmore aren't newcomers. That is the (ok, a part) SNK staff. Why do you think has a new founded company got the whole SNK IP and not Aruze? Just look at the KOF2k1 staff list and you will find some well known ex-SNK members

sounds okay to me.
but to clarify things SNK is restructured under
playmore
and to tell you the truth if you want my prefered
conversation about the topic i think its good.
the sam sho background doesnt seem to really fit but its
welcome anyways.
if you look at kof 2000 anyways its a tribute to
all of SNK. making ties with all its roots.
all of the "other stikers" were from past SNK games
not neccessarily kof but SNK where ever you look
even the last line you see when you beat the game
is a thank you to everyone who has ever cared enough to play the games.
so yes. the game is a swan song.
leave it at that.
appreciate it if your a fan.
thats who SNK caters too believe it or not.
sincerely,
rare
