Neo-News has the scoop on a new (yet finished) project by !Arcade!
Solutions. Dubbed the AES II, this new Neo-Geo home cartridge system is a revision of the original Neo-Geo home hardware. This new system has been called, "A
work of art" by insiders at !Arcade!.

There's more in development by !Arcade!....

A new S-Video/Debug chip for
the Neo cart system will be released very soon, along with a transparent black Arcade controller. Neo-News will keep the Neo community updated as information

I would LOVE to see the system have:

TWO slots. Home cart slot in front and an MVS slot right behind it. (Built-in converter anyone?)

S-Video out or component video out.

More compact form factor and more durable feeling materials.

Your telling me theres going to be a redesigned home cart system?
If so, wouldnt that be illegal or something without blessing from SNK?
Would this be a cheap redesigned system or an expensive one?
Maybe the neo could reach newer gamers if it was a system around a hundred dollars.

Feel rest assured that !Arcade! Solutions has SNK of Japan's blessing. !Arcade! doesn't release 'cheap' products, Baller. They (!Arcade!) went through the proper channels to create this new system, and it will revive the Neo market (this I have no doubt!).

Funny indeed! However, unlike a certain company we know, !Arcade! does things the right way.

I doubt that this will revive the home cart market if it is priced at over 200 bucks..they need to create a cheap home cart system to attract a new generation of gamers.
And with all the built in stuff, i doubt 200 dollars will be met.

If they charge 400 dollars for a tiny little convertor, think what they will charge for the system.

A price for the system hasn't been confirmed yet. Why not contact them and address your concerns?

Holy shnikes! I'm putting this on my credit card (all my cash went to the wife's new car) when they release this one!

James

P.S. Please put in an MVS slot instead of making it like a supergun-thingie.

P.P.S. I just deleted my MAS Systems bookmark in anticipation of their new joystick...

Well well well, this sounds like something I want! I have been waiting for something like this for awhile, just wish the MVS portion would have been built in, not that you would need to have to buy the convertor seperately. JAMMA compatible? Awesome!

Arcade, see if you can make it also 100% compatible with the Hyper Neo, so we can truly have 100% neo solution.

im not disapointed
the AESII s coming
out!
and theyre doing

it would be
cool if they could
get snks permission
to reproduce AES titles

Now if Arcade started reproducing motw and ms3 that would REALLY revive the market, that would rock.
One more thing..you dont even need to buy a convertor for 400 you guys..did you read carefully?its a Supergun also!
So you can buy the aes ii and buy a neo mb for 50 bucks on ebay and your set to play mvs games!!but again..if this thing is priced at like 500 bucks..forget it..thats the end of neo right there.

I don't think it would spell the end for the Neo. In either case, we'll hopefully have a retail price for the AES II soon!
