I'll be honest. When I first heard months ago that Evoga/SNK was making a sequel to Double Dragon, I first thought..."why?" I mean, if SNK wants to dig itself out of a hole, why pick a sequel to such a terrible first installment?
Well, all I can say is, Evoga/SNK did their R & D, worked hard at programming and developed a game that I would say is one of my top ten best Neo games.
Here it is folks, ROTD:

<a href="http://waynetam.com/vinh/rotd2.jpg" target="_blank">ROTD Rocks!!</a>
<a href="http://waynetam.com/vinh/rotd3.jpg" target="_blank">This game is da bomb!!</a>
<a href="http://waynetam.com/vinh/rotd4.jpg" target="_blank">"Did I mention, silky smooth graphics?"</a>
<a href="http://waynetam.com/vinh/rotd5.jpg" target="_blank">"Tight controls, great gameplay."</a>
<a href="http://waynetam.com/vinh/rotd6.jpg" target="_blank">Combo Heaven? Oh yeah!!</a>
<a href="http://waynetam.com/vinh/rotd7.jpg" target="_blank">Awesome Backgrounds? Yeah, that too!!</a>
<a href="http://waynetam.com/vinh/rotd8.jpg" target="_blank">I can't get enough of this game.</a>
If there's any genre that I love most, it's fighting games. I've grown up on beat 'em ups such as Karate Champ, SF, SFII, Fatal Fury, KOF...you get the point. Many has fallen by the waistside in terms of overall scores.
All I can say about this game is...I LOVE IT!! Everyone has their own opinion, but here is my breakdown:
-Graphics, what we see first, are top notch.
-Framerate, is this game smooth, uh, yeah, heck yeah.
-Gameplay, ah, the most important feature to me and yeah, it had tight controls, superb combos and a refreshing cast of characters. It's not about quantity, but quality.
-Tag mode, a la Capcom's vs. series makes it refreshing. SNK never really had a "true" tag mode and this game adds that extra feature to give it more gameplay.
Verdict: Evoga/SNK did an excellent job and it shows. I've heard a few bad reports from Japan about this game, but they were probably pure Capcom fans (which isn't a bad thing, but biased). I buying this puppy and IMO, it ROCKS!!!
I wish I could give a full review, but since it was a proto, I couldn't take it home.
Coming soon to arcades across the U.S. in June. This game shows that the Neo LIVES!!!!!!!!!!
