Ok, obviously with Big Bear's new MVS cases, getting inserts of one kind or another has become more important for some of us. So, I now have some questions for the would be graphic artists out there.

The scanner I have right now, aside from being a cheap, cheeseball scanner, does not have a big enough scanning platform to accommodate a full insert. So:

1) Can anyone recommend a scanner that has a large enough deck?

2) Can anyone recommend a scanner that does not cost an arm and a leg but still does a decent job?

3) At what DPI would those who care to comment recommend scanning to get a decent result?

Also, Lee, are you having any luck finding a new home for the inserts that were home brewed? Some of those were just the best ever! My Metal Slug would love to be wrapped in one of those.
