Does KOF 94' AES have a dedicated versus mode?

Just wondering. My KOF 94' AES doesn't have one. I don't mean "2 player pressing start", I mean, "we can both select versus mode".

just played KOF'94 for the first

time this saturday

very good game

feels like the early Fatal Fury games

nice backgrounds too

japan is awesome

it's just too bad there's nothing in KOF'02

that rivals such good artwork

NEVER talk down at me. I asked a simple question. If I put it in the wrong section, sue me. There are better ways of telling me that.

I played it a few days ago with a friend of mine who used to play this all the time with me back in the day. It is truely a classic. :)

It's great to see people still enjoy this classic! The sound effects and voices for the old kof games were always fantastic...and the BG's were by far better than the ones we get nowadays...

KOF 94' brings back so many memories. Yes, the stages, stage introductions, and music rocked.

Man, it's pretty depressing playing KOF'94 knowing that they'll never match anything like it now or in the future.

They really did mean it when they said "The Future is Now". The future certainly isn't now now. If you catch my drift.

Finally some other people who really appreciate KOF 94... I knew I wasn't alone. KOF 94 is the only one I never seem to get tired of playing. Just everything about it is great. It's the only one that I can find no faults.

To expand on my point:
95 had overpowered moves.
96 had overpowered Iori.
97 had very few songs.
98 has that announcer...
99 has weak story.
2000 has weak story.
2001 has horrible music.
2002 has bad music.

Please elaborate.

Find me something in KOF'02 as detailed and as vibrant as the Japan and Mexico stages found in '94. You'll be lucky.

Perhaps you prefer colour-compressed, scanned in photos as backgrounds?

The man has a point. I actually enjoy KoF'02 quite a bit as far as gameplay, aside from all the bugs, but artistically, the game can't hold a candle to the OG's of the series. His comment about scanned-in photos really hits home, especially since a couple of '02's BG's reminded me of the flat backdrops from Tekken 2. Photo-realistic or rendered BG's need to be done with some serious care...
