Goketsuji.

Is that the Power Instinct sequel? Or is that a new game? Site says it's a temporary name for a game so I'm not sure. But it appears to be hitting MVS and NGH, so hey, who can complain?

EDIT: Punctuation.

If you're refering to this:

GOKETSUJI( (Temp.) (NG) <hr></blockquote>

That's New Power Instinct. Should be out in March on mvs.

Personally, I'm just looking forward to SNK vs Capcom :)

Ah thanks Tarma. :D

As for SNK vs Capcom... I can't wait either. :) Hopefully I'll have found a job somewhere (turning 16 in 3 weeks) so HOPEFULLY I'll be able to afford it when it comes out.

Well, I'd guestimate that SNK vs Capcom will appear on mvs sometime during the mid-late Summer (they'll want to max the revenue out of NPI before releasing SvC). I guess the homecart should pop around September next year and will probably sell like hot cakes.

With only two development teams (Noise Factory and Eolith) seemingly active, new releases are going to be sloooooooow. :(

What about Evoga? Maybe they're secretly working on a RotD sequel.

Doh! Forget about them. Dunno about Evoga, I don't think they've announced anything.

Can't remember who it was, but someone said SvC was being developed in-house. However, we haven't actually seen any releases developed solely by Playmore yet, so I don't know how true this is.

Thing to remember too is that Noise Factory co-developed RotD with Evoga.

When did that happen? Did the Crystal System kill them off or what?

Judging by the pics of the characters, I don't think it's going to be a big hit. Maybe if they thought of something more serious.

Apparently it's some half-baked series from Atlus. There are two Power Instinct games before NPI.

I've never played them but apparently they're nothing to shout about. Why the hell they're digging up the series for Neo-Geo is beyond me. I'm sure there's plenty of other licences (other than of course sequels to worthy SNK franchies: Garou, Last Blade, Sam Sho etc) out there worthy of consideration and not necesarrily bloody beat-em ups.
A couple of new shooters would be nice or a new Super Sidekicks game.

I think it's pretty safe to say Spike that this will be one release where you won't be chasing up USPS every 5 seconds to see if the cart has arrived. I think it'll be a big flop, but then I could also be oh so very wrong...

Just reiterating:

Everyone should play Groove On Fight for the Saturn; it's hardly the best fighter, but its still a lot of fun.

Of course. SNES didn't have good looking fighters. Even though about half were fun to play for awhile.

I remember reading about these games in EGM back in the day when the Neo ruled all ('95) and they didn't look all that great. I remember the characters looking lame, and yes, I too remember the granny.

This is one game I'm not looking forward to. It'll need a lot of good reviews before I even think about purchasing it.

Roll on SvC. <img src="graemlins/tickled.gif" border="0" alt="[Tickled]" />

A game does not need a well known history or even a solid predecessor to build a sequel upon, sometimes good things come from nothing.

I thought ROTD was going to be a waste of time, but after I gave in and finally bought it, I was pleasantly surprised with the outcome (although I do like the original Neo Double Dragon).

Like most of you I would rather see a LB, SS, or even a MOTW sequel, but I'm going to give it a shot anyway.
