We all know that boots for SNK products have been lurking in the market for a few years now. Read this article in Replay Magazine on-line, as a large distributor is under investigation:

This is what SNK should of done! Look for people who sell bootlegs all over the world. If we want to keep enjoying such great games as The King of Fighters '02, Rage of the Dragons and SNK vs. Capcom we have to support the new SNK. Time to tell those bootleggers that it is not o.k to mess with SNK. Then smack them on the face with a BIGASS lawsuit or something.

Actually, it is funny to hear BB back pedal. We knew he was a major bootleger and scammer for a long time now, glad to see him go down in a bang. Wahhh... I didn't know they were fake. Sure, thats why you can buy KOF2K1 and 2K2 for a 1/3 less then the market price... you just assumed they were the real deal. He doesn't have a prayer, his ass got served and a major bootleger goes down.

I am really starting to like Playmore, for once they are doing something about fake carts,

Thanks for that, it was very interesting... especially as I had doubted Playmore would take action outside of Japan.

Marshals reportedly visited two other undisclosed locations as well, but neither were regional or national distributors. <hr></blockquote>

Do you think they will do anything about aslan11 on ebay. I got a boot form him before I knew about the whole neo world. <img src="graemlins/spock.gif" border="0" alt="[Spock]" />

If Playmore want to survive they will have to clamp down on bootleg sales- MVS boots are a pet hate of mine as you all know- I just hope that this case will change some of the more liberal thinkers on this forum...

And as for NGF boots- no-one but collectors really give a damn about the aes market...

lol... whenever someone mentions 'mvs' and 'boot' I always think of that guy. Not dealt with him personally, but I know of his rep. I'm suprised eBay haven't banned him from trading... Guess nobody has ever complained loud enough.

It's doubtful he actually manufactures these boots, but you never know...

If a person is a Power Seller, you could be selling 7 year old girls into a kiddie porn ring and all Ebay would do is suspend your account for a month or 2. Power Sellers are where Ebay makes all of their money, and they won't do anything to Power Sellers to try and protect their income. They should have a 3rd party company do all the investigation into the emails they receive from people who think they've been scammed. That way, Joe Scammer who sells 2 boots a year would be ass pounded just as badly as the Power Seller who sells 23457 boots a year.

I've complained several times about people who sell SonMay and Ever Anime soundtracks, which are always boots, and I even sent LINKS to sites that verify this... what does Ebay do? Not a fucking thing. Ebay= Power Scammer Paradise. All you have to do to be a Power Scammer is sell enough legit shit the first couple of months, then once you've been a Power Seller for a while, start you scamming engines and let it roar!

Well, he was selling (for sure) bootleg KOF2K1 carts on the games release... And I believe he was also selling MS4 and ROD bootlegs as well, but could be wrong,

It's a long road to victory for SNK NEOGEO but it's a start! Bout time someone did something about all the boots. Now maybe some justice will be served out and Playmore can get around to making more good games in the genres lost and forgotten.

If i remember correctly, i've seen recently a pic of an advertisement in some mexican newspaper/mag that warned ppl of some neogeo boots like rotd and kof2002. That was an ad by evoga.

I totally forgot where i saw this but i'm sure it's someone here that posted this bit of info.

playmore is also sueing aruze, which is not a bad idea. They seem to be more aggressive against scams and frauds than snk ever was... i'm still hoping playmore wins the millions of yens from that lawsuit...
