And this time, I'm serious! Just see the auction below.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=1345&item=746504426

And remember, kids: the subtitle for the KOF 2002 Mook is "Tribute To The Battle Addict", not "Fighting Obsession".

But what is ?
Is it an official book that release for each fighting game?
Only for kof?
Only buy playmore(snk)?

What is in it?
I red the description but I would like to know more about it?
Can someone help.

Think of it as an official artbook of the current KOF series. It has original character sketches, concept art, backgrounds and background information, team information, detailed pictures of all the characters attacks, boss pictures and endings as well as character quotes and production notes.

It's really something to have as a Collector's Item!

Shame none of the London arcades have KoF2002 yet, not even Casino.

Same guy as Insaneben, so I suppose technically I won it rather than ordered it. :p

He had at least two left when I completed my bid.

I'm going to hit a few Japanese book stores here in New York for this. I love a lot of the SNK Illustration Books, and this one for KOF looks rather nice. Still, I wish I could get my hands on video mooks that show lots of gameplay, combos, glithces and secrets. Does anyone know somewhere online where I could find KOF video mooks? Preferrably the Gamest Mooks for any KOF before they went out of business... but any good one would be appreciated. :)

.. and a lovely unboxed system in crappy condition to play it on, all for the low, low price of £250! LMAO ;)
Of course I'll be down there to try it out when it's released though, lol.

I can get the MVS kit for under £300 (customs charges permitting of course), but that's still more than I want/can afford to pay at the moment.

Why don't you get the customs charges masked? As long as the value on the box shows $40 or less you won't get hit with charges! :D

Just picked up my copy today, too. Last one in the store. Very nice edition. The way that all the moves are illustrated in detail is also really convenient. The cover is a pretty hideous pink though (I guess to match the pink of the home cart).

There are two more bookstores in town that might have a copy. If anyone is interested in buying one, PM me. It would cost about $14 US plus postage.

OMG if I hear one more person complain about the pink...you people know nothing about good design

Well, anyway, I just snatched one off ebay. The quality of 2001 Fighting Obsession was really great, hopefully this will be even better.

Go to the action and click ask seller a question.

I sent him an e-mail and he said that he will have many more in stock. He also has many other mooks. Plus you can bid with confidence, Videogameya is one of the best sellers on ebay.

If I didn't know anything about good design, I wouldn't be complaining about the horrible pink colour. Both the Mook and the Home Cart have a great cover illustration and layout, but pink is just not the colour for a fighting tournament.

KOF is just as much about style, as it is about fighting in my opinion. Over the past few years, the design has been getting more dynamic, pink is being used alot in current design, and I think its great that they had the guts to do it. I'm just sick of people saying "that shit is gay", "fuck pink", etc. Thats cool if you dont like it, your opinion. I hope the homecart insert is bright fucking pink, just to piss everyone off.
