We have deceided to change the venue for the "Neo Summit" from New York to Toronto, Ontario, Canada. We have finalized the dates as August 24, 25 & 26. This decision is based strictly on Toronto being preferred by our overseas friends who will be attending.

We will at this time be showcasing our new system as well as a "Fully Working" Irritating Maze unit and hopefully a surprise Neo cart that is currently in the final stages, as well as a few other products.

Those of you wishing to attend are most welcome as we will be setting up a couple of Neo Units (cabinets) for some serious gameplay after each days meetings.

Best regards

All attending should order my SNK t-shirts, so you can recognize each others affiliation. [/shameless plug]

I would love to go, but August is a bit too soon for me to make any plans.

Would a webcast of the events highlights be possible?

I may actually go to this. Hamilton is like an hour away, so you can expect to see me there.

What is the address? Entrance fees?

I am so in! I WILL be there! Are you guys going to have anything for sale? MVS carts and what not?

I am looking forward to this VERY much. Month-and-a-half a way!

Who else is going?

I have to frown on the venue change. Understable for the overseas folks I guess, but since I live in NYC I would have been able to go to the Summit, now I can't. I would think that the people from overseas would rather be in the greatest city in the world. Oh well...

Well, if any one wants to make a stop over in Hamilton before you go, feel free. Bring some MVS carts.

Flying, about 80 minutes I think, then you need to get from the airport (Malton) to wherever in Toronto the summit is being held, and about, ummm, wait, I'll give you a price figure later today from someone who does this often enough. $150?? Maybe you should look for a websaver or something.

By bus, 10 hrs. is the shortest bus, which takes you right downtown. Only a couple minutes' walk from a great arcade which even has Sengoku 3. Return student fare is about $113 and the adult fare would be a bit more.

By train, well it's both longer + more expensive than the bus, only more comfortable. But, when 300 passengers all have to debark and go through customs...

Ah yes, everyone says they will go... But I have a feeling that other than those with actual business interests this will amount to Texas Tourney II in terms of attendence.

Please prove me wrong.

Well, I really enjoy going to Toronto, so I plan to make this a part of a day (or two) there. I WILL be there for one of the days.

Well, how about this. I can go, not I will go. In fact I probably won't go, even if for nothing else than the fact that it's precisely the same weekend as the Canadian National Comic Book Expo 2001 (a 3-day convention that deals in comics, sfx and anime/manga). Some things take priority over video games, for me.

You may find this useful once you're actually in the city, but it doesn't deal with any other town. Anyhow, getting from Pearson to Toronto or any of the former cities that now comprise it is fairly simple. Where are you staying anyway, if I may ask?

Damn who the hell wants to go to Toronto over New York. The cultural center of the world!?

Now I can't go. Oh well. Toronto's nice and all , I have friends up there but it can't compare to New York!
