Metal Slug 3 MVS new kits are coming!!!

I contacted a fairly large arcade product retailer today, and got some good news!!! Apparently, although they are currently out of Metal Slug 3 MVS kits (isn't everyone?), there is a new batch that is supposed to be entering the country on or around July 15. This retailer will have them back in stock shortly after that time, and the price is supposed to be about $300 each!

On top of that, I was looking at the brand new July issue of RePlay Magazine at my local arcade, and Metal Slug 3 has moved UP to 9th place in the top 10 list (from 12th the previous month)!! And with about 30% penetration in the arcade market, that's a GREAT sign!!

Looks like MS3 is getting the recognition it rightly deserves. This also strengthens the possibility of a re-release of the MS3 home cart later in the year, which has been laughed about by several people who shall, for the time being, remain unnamed (until it comes out, at which time their names will be dragged through the MUD!!). And it even bodes well for a new MS game that might be in production by SNK or a third party!

They have been saying that for over a month now. I just hope they come in soon. I had one reserved the first week of June and told them to take me off the list because it was taking too long.

Could this be the "re-release" of MS3 that people are hypothesizing will be for home? Maybe it was a mix-up of communication...

Well even if there is no home cart release, the MVS cart is a welcome re-release. I can't find the damned things anywhere, at least in half decent condition (preferably complete in original MVS cardboard box). I'd happily pay $300 for a brand new MS3 MVS kit, then I could play it in my cab. I do already have the home cart, so I'd be covered either way . . . lets just hope it comes out as BOTH the new MVS kit, and the new home cart! This game is just too good to be kept from the vast majority of Neo fanatics, as it seems to be at the present time due to extreme shortages. <IMG SRC="smilies/ohno.gif" border="0">

They're a great seller BTW, I went to them for a bargain copy of Kabuki Klash awhile back ($20-$30) range and when I opened the box what did I see but an English cart and all of the English extras. Sweet! <IMG SRC="smilies/glee.gif" border="0">

Is there any Last blade 2, MOTW, or Kizuna Encounter MVS kits "sitting" around or "coming in"? I can't find any of those anywhere....

Holy shit I began looking for MS3 today in earnest and every retailer I have called is out of stock. I got myself put on the videoconnect waiting list because it is the only lead I have... and they said that they have 20 copies coming and 18 people already on the list!

Today's message was that the kits should be in by now, and that they are going to call right away to ask where the heck they are. Sounds promising, sort of.

Just noticed that they added Sengoku 3 to their website but no price listed, only a call request. Forgot to ask what they are selling it for... probably doesn't matter, from what I've heard about the game I'm not prepared to shell out over $100 on it anyway.

I just got off the phone with Kelly and she said that they (MS3MVS) are in New York and she should have them by Wenesday or Thursday.

Metal Slug 3 MVS kits are LOCKED AND LOADED!!! I got a call from Pauline at Video Connection, she said they're confirming orders for the kits and will ship them out next week!! Even though $295 seems expensive, its cheap for brand new minty fresh kits, and I'm showing my support for this re-release of the MVS game (just like I did for the re-release of the home version at NCS). Its likely that MS3 kits will fall in price in the near future, but I wanted to be absoluetly sure I got a new one at launch.

Anyone know of anywhere else that was offering the new kits? Just curious, I didn't talk to any other arcade distributors about the game.

I'm reactivating this thread for kit status, the other thread was depressing. The price is set at $325 and the updated date for videoconnect to receive the kits is Thursday of this week.

I know they increased the price to $325, but thats OK with me. Worth it for one of the best 2D action/platform/shooter games EVER MADE!!! <IMG SRC="smilies/drool2.gif" border="0">

I hope they get them this thursday! I sent my money order for 325 last week thinking they were getting them last Thursday. Man I can't wait.
