To answer the most frequently asked question of this year... Confirmed: SNK vs. Capcom Chaos will be released for the NeoGeo home cartridge system this October, and this blockbuster title will be available in both English & Japanese version!

Retail pricing for SVC Chaos home cartridge is expected to remain at the usual $325. AES preorders for SVC Chaos will open soon at the NeoStore, for now the recently released MVS version is available.

Shawn, how came you still advertise SvC: Chaos jamma pcb as an MVS title?

Also has there been any word on the production run for SvC: Chaos Home cart?

SNK NEOGEO USA and Playmore advertise SVC Chaos as an MVS title. Besides, in the pictures you will notice that the SVC Chaos packaging and even the PCB is labeled with “MVS”.

Also has there been any word on the production run for SvC: Chaos Home cart?

The production quantity will remain confidential.

Shawn,

Has there been any word on it coming to any of the next gen consoles with online support?

No confirmation at this time, but I’m sure a port of SVC Chaos is inevitable, most likely well after the home cartridge release.

Might have to find a cheap homecart system, if the MVS cart isn't released by October.

Good news that it's staying at 325.

That's strange that they didn't produce an MVS case for this game. What's the interest of producing a jamma PCB cart? It's more fragile and you have to switch your MVS slot kit to play.

This has been done in an effort to prevent bootlegging and TEH ROMZ.

Anyway, I don't see why people that usually get the MVS version instead of AES are thinking of actually buying an AES system and this game... I bet that the MVS cart and/or the single JAMMA pcb (you know, you can still use it in a cab/supergun) will be around the same price as the AES when its released, it has happened with the latest releases. I know SvC is a very special case, but... Only time will tell. My suggestion is that you WAIT and see what happens.

I would expect posters/flyers, but it’s too early to comment on freebies though.

Of course the MVS cartridge would be more convenient and is preferred, but Jamma PCB helps to delay bootleggers from bootlegging.

Conference time is over :(, must leave for Memphis (power still out, must ship today’s orders). Will respond to new emails, ICQ's, and posts later this evening to early morning.

Will this game like other home releases be the exact game that is in the arcades. I only ask given all the rumors of new technology and if they are true can they fit in the homecart at the same price.

So much for all the $1,000 home cart speculation on this game.

I will be placing my preorder soon. :D

anytime, 325$ is good for this game.

i hope it sells out fast. playmore deserves a blockbuster, and from what i've played and seen, it is very good.

well done.

To answer the most frequent question of all time:

Shawn is Account #2 because UBB automatically made #1 "webmaster", who then evolved into the entity we all know as Judge Dredd.

I went ahead and tacked this to the top of the forum.

Thanks for the heads up Shawn. I can't believe I'm going to pre-order a fighting game, but I can't resist. :D
