Yeah I know, you guys all think I'm crazy because I'm always obsessing over small imperfections like a single blinking pixel or some funny shit like that...well thats what happens when your OCD. But listen...I swear to you guys I hear alot of static during the intro of Sengoku 3, not during any other part of the game...just the intro. Does anyone else hear this? Listen REAL carefully for me.Yes I've already checked other games and of course they dont have static. I would post this in Tech, but since its a new game,I thought others might have heard something.>>>

Hmm, interesting.
It seems alot of games have been acting up lately.
We should archive all these mishaps, whatever blah.
UKYO, you sure its not the contacts having bits of threads, (KOF 2K had something similar)
Could be that.

I just played the game and didn't hear any static, no. I am using mono cables, though. However when I plugged in headphones, I still couldn't hear anything.

I really hope that the hidden characters aren't obtained by beating the game and then saving them to a memory card, since I don't have one. If that's the case, I hope someone finds out the dip switches for them, and if not, I guess it's finally time to get a memory card...

Ukyo, I used to be VERY...VEEEEERRRRRYYY picky about imperfections in games. I would get pissed if I saw clipping...and other shit like that...anything. Sound imperfections...hell, I wouldn't buy the game if the box wasn't in PRISTINE CONDITION. I will even check my homecarts occasionally to just make sure the stickers arnt coming off of the carts...thats how bad I am. If I see that happening...Then I almosty always panic.

Now, would someone (coughUKYOcough)be so kind as to acknowledge my question in the gameplay secion under the sengoku3 topic?

I do not have Sengoku 3 yet, but I do have some games that have pixelated outlines in the background. Anyone know how to fix this, cleaning etc?

I did not notice any static.

I had to clean the contacts to get rid of graphic problems though.

There is some slight noise that is assosiated with the sampleing quality of the music. Don't worry about it!

I had the exact same static in my copy, during the intro.

I reseated the cart, & it's gone.
Only seems to be there, if you have the cart not plugged in good.

So reseat your cart, & see if that helps.

I didn't have any trouble with mine.

But as others have said, you might just need to take the cart out and put it in again. This sometimes happens with other Neo carts (my World Heroes Perfect seems particularly prone to this), but it's no biggie - all part of the joys that come with being a Neo home cart owner!

Well, I just got finished with the initial playing of my JPN Sengoku 3 cart, and I encountered no such "static" problem with the game's introductory music. For careful listening purposes, I used my favorite headphones (Sony MDR-F1) connected to an external amp and everything sounded normal, considering the given sampling quality of the music. However, when I first plugged the game in, I got that "slot error" message along with some funky-assed graphics glitches! But, a simple re-seating of the cart fixed that problem. I encountered similar problems with my Garou, MS3 and KOF 2k home carts upon initially firing them up, but those games work just fine now and give me no trouble.

Thanks guys, Ill just have to keep reseting the cart I guess, I've tried numerous times and the static is still there. I know what you mean though about when you first put a new cart in, it doesnt quite register all the time. Thanks.

Just an update guys, I've tried reseting the my Sengoku cart numerous times and Im still getting static at the intro. I tried using headphones like Dolphin lord, and the static is even more aparant...I'm considering e-mailing NCS for a replacement, what do you think?

I don't know...now I think that its just the sampling quality of the music...I suspect that all of the carts are like this. There is no reason that one specific cart would have static. It just seems weird to me that most of you don't notice it...especially with headphones on, it becomes very aparant. It certainly isnt anything I've ever experianced with other homecarts. The Neo has crystal clear sound. All you other anal neo players on the board...when you recieve your copy, please post. Thanks.
