might be alot for an mvs game, but remember KOF is a definite sell. I think last year KOF 2000 was #2 at the arcades in Japan for a long time.

GAH! Jeezum Crow T. Robot! Good thing I've decided to wait for the price to go down. Any idea how much KOF 2000 cost when it was first released for the MVS?

I'm not sure what SNK's list price was, but cosmicco had new kits for about $1300 at release.

Don't worry, they all start out high (since arcade owners will make the prices back).

Don't forget: That's the whole reason they made MVS carts different than home carts, so arcade operators couldn't by the cheaper home carts instead.

A lot of freakin' Yen, that's for sure. My old candy still reads 100Y per play (although I imagine they'll initially charge more)... So that would mean over 1,880 plays, at least.

Don't forget, NGF can do a conversion for only 8,000, or your soul, whichever is cheaper!

That's a typical price for a high profile fighting game on MVS in Japan. Prices in other regions will be much lower.

No word on a definite home cart yet.. <IMG SRC="smilies/frown.gif" border="0">

Most likely it would be around the same price as KOF2k, if we are lucky enough to see KOF2k1 on home cart.

Man, that would be worse than the shortage of 100Y coins that occurred with Space Invaders <IMG SRC="smilies/eek.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/glee.gif" border="0">

That's as much as the Capcom vs SNK 1 board cost. Not a bad thing if I badly wanted to find some japanese arcade and play it. Arg! I too am waiting for the home cart price.
