AES Thread - The FULL UNCENSORED VERSION!

Here is my first post...

First off, MS3 is NOT going to be re-released. If it does I will be as happy as all of you
Second. If there is one source you should support in the AES market, its !arcade!.
By buying the Strikers AES you are showing support for more future releases!

!arcade! is not MASS-PRODUCING the Strikers AES, they are doing the SMART thing by producing limited quanities. Once the Strikers are gone, who knows what will be next.

Yes, signing up for a Metal Slug 3 re-release is great. But more than likely most of the people who signed up for the game are kids trying to be noticed by the REAL Neo-Gamers and have no intentions of buying the game.

Honestly there are like 40% of us on these boards that can actually buy an expensive Neo game and it would'nt affect us. Yes, its sad the games cost so much, but it is we who are the true supporters of the Neo. Any punk could go out and buy a $250 AES and World Heroes and say, "I'm a Neo Geo MANIAC!"

Look at me for example. I have 2 hobbies, Import Tuning and Neo-Geo. I had a nice MVS collection going but I said FUCK IT! I'm going AES! And I sacrificed 62 games for 1 game an AES and a Super Mod! Am I stupid? Maybe in some peoples eyes. Did I get what I wanted? Yes.

I'm not a doctor or a lawyer...but a CONTRACTOR. I build houses! What other carpenter do you guys know who is into the Neo Geo

My AES collection consists of...MS, MS2, MS3, MSX and SS2. Those are basically the only AES games I want as of now besides Neo-Driftout... <GLARES at Jeff Kurtz>

Honestly there are like 40% of us on these boards that can actually buy an expensive Neo game and it would'nt affect us. Yes, its sad the games cost so much, but it is we who are the true supporters of the Neo. Any punk could go out and buy a $250 AES and World Heroes and say, "I'm a Neo Geo MANIAC!"

sonic1687 Hey, back off. I used to like you...untill that comment about any 'kid' could just say hes going to pre order it, but not really buy it. Fuck you, i pre ordered it and i have every intention to buy it when its released. just because i'm 14 (no job) doesnt mean that i cant buy a couple of NGH games. maybe right now i do only have wh2 and ss2. soon enough ill have an mvs converter to play my mvs collection (metal slug, tss +10 others) and im also going to be getting kof 2k and metal slug 3.
also, i dont think supporting arcade is the right way to go. they are totally unofficial PIRATERS. the are custom manufacturing their own boards (which must be copyrighted by snk in one form or another) and duplicating their rom chips (i doubt theyd sac that many mvs's)which last time i checked...WAS ILLEGAL.

i dont understand, why cant anyone ever accept that the end of the neo might come? i've never seen anyone else so up-tight about the fact that their system might die. sure i want it to live for ever too...but eventually everything must die, even the neo.

Silent_Scope For odd reason I'm back with full force in NGH world again (last time was 1996).
I love Neo Geo but price scares me away even I'm working. I don't mind spend money on import DC, Saturn, or PS2 but just can't shell out $500 for MOTW or $1200 for Metal Slug. That's crazy.

I'm happy with my 10 NGH games I have now
There are two more coming: KOF99 and SS 3

The fact is you might fall in to the 40% category I mentioned. But that 40% of fan based gamers isn't enough to get SNK to produce more AES titles.

ocsmod I just write to tell that I pre-ordered MS3 and that I will buy it when it is released. I don't have nothing against !Arcade!. If they release or re-release any good game that I like be sure that I will pre-order it.
Tonk, you know that we all love the Metal Slug series, so if !Arcade! had made the announcement of a MS3 re-release the people would have pre-ordered it the same. Please support ANY company who just wants the Neo Geo to stay alive.

Tonk , this is a really sad statement. Anyone who enjoys the neogeo is an enthusiast. You have just confirmed to me that there is an elitist snobbery in the Neo world with your "I've got an AES and MS" attitude. That just stinks. BRANDI I think that Tonk is right when he's saying 'Support !arcade!' (i didn't preorder the cart but i will probably get it when it will be released: the end of the week if everything goes right).
!arcade! could bring other MVS only titles to the AES market and that is a very good thing.
But, anyway, i'd be definitely happier to see SNK back on track, rereleasing some great title and givin' us new life with something original.
That's why i truly hope that this 'MS3 thing' will be just fine.
We need both SNK and !arcade!.

Why would anyone want to fake this? What would be the real advantage? And would NCSX jump on the wagon if they didn't believe it was a distinct possibility?

Why try to be negative about it? Just be positive and hope for the best. If it comes out, great! If not, oh well maybe next time!

And if you want to pay over a grand for one cart, that's your own business. If I were in your position I wouldn't even bring it to anyone's attention... that is, unless you want to show off that you spent over a grand for a game. You could get a converter and the MVS cart for a third of that price, but I'm sure you know that.

It's the same game. One just comes with a nice SNK box, insert and manual. Or better yet, you could have a conversion done for the same price, around $350.

But you chose to spend the extra $700 for an SNK box, manual and insert. Your money, your business <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">

Got to agree with Ghost on this, I mean its your business but you come to a public forum and brag about it, thus making it our business, opinions are bound to clash.
I know you want to be cool with the people here, but please if your not serious about a comment address it, emotions are extremely limited here.
Its great you got Metal Slug, (my opinion)---> dont go attacking people about it.
Trust me on this TonK, if your talking value Metal Slug is small fry, There is a few people on this forum who do indeed own the "US Kizuna cart"

Gee, it's the people that bought SNK games new for years that supported them.
Not some johnny come lately that bought an overpriced USED game. Of which SNK didn't see one dime from.
So how does buying used games support them exactly? Oh yea, it doesn't. Buying a new copy of a dreamcast game would have done more.

Hahaha you should have seen it yesterday,it was well funny,basicaly he stuck that post up as a new thread,it got heated a little
(the evidence is at the top of the page)
and all of the sudden before i could get my next reply in when i got a screen come up saying
"this topic does not exist" i had just wrote about two fucking paragraphs.
Anyway went back to the topic only to find it edited,all our replys were deleted and he took out all of the shit that stirred up the trouble.
I asked him why he deleted his original post,then about 10 minutes later he deletes the whole damn thread again.
