Ok - the time is nigh...

Press releases will start to go up on www.vektorlogic.com as of this friday about the new Neo Geo MVS and AES games from Vektorlogic.

There will be a gradual flow of info prior to release in time for the JAMMA show and the rest of the shows at that time. A list of signed developers will also also follow.

We will try to make decent games at a very decent price. The "Gold" editions of the games will be placed up for auction and will contain features not in the general release game. All proceeds from sales of Gold Carts will go to charity - the charity will be listed for that particular game. There will only be 10 gold edition carts produced for each title.

Hope this starts the fires - hopefully 6 new titles for 2002 and 2 for the remainder of this year.

Sounds great.

Will these be new games be produced in-house, or will they be releases of previously unavailable games on Home Cart such as Super Dodge Ball, Shock Troopers 1, etc?

hmm...hopefully the "gold" editions won't be vastly different...somehow I see some unsavory types in the community gobbling those up to resell down the road.

Make sure you block dion from bidding!
He will fuck you one way or antoher, and are these gold ones licensed by SNK? If so give me a estimated price? How is 5 K?

None of the games that will go up for sale will have anything to do with SNK at this time. SNK were offered the opportunity to handle all product for international distribution, but were unable to come up with any paperwork to support this enquiry.

Unless anything happens to the contrary in the next few weeks, the MVS games will be the first to be released and will go via normal distriubtion chains.

Please be sure to let us know when the gold editions go up on ebay. I have to agree with LWK, if Dion wins the auction, he will ruin the games.

Hey Jeff I just remembered someting. Earlier this year when you were telling us about making some new MVS games you mentioned something about making stronger encryption(I cant seem to find the thread). Would this be a problem for anyone who had a MVS converter? Will they have the home options already programmed in? Just curious...

Wow, great news Vektorlogic Ltd <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">
I'm very happy hearing that future of the Neo Geo is not only in the hands of SNK. First !Arcade! and now you keep supporting us. Thank you.
Please confirm us if the games (AES) will be around 250$ and if you will distribute them directly.

Hi again

Hyper 64 would be unreasonably high priced if we continued with software development for this platform - unfortunately, the architecture of the system makes it prohibitively expensive, especially when we have been selling complete motherboards and single games (new) for $99 each.

AES pricing will depend upon PCB construction and volumes that we can sell - we can make single games, but the cost of designing entirely new AES cases and (but not so much) PCBs puts a high initial outlay cost in here. Providing all goes to plan, the target of $250 should be easily attainable at this time - look for the first one to be less than that....he said bravely (even if it's only $5 less :-) )
